A member of the European Parliament chided British Prime Minister Gordron Brown Tuesday, labeling him "The devalued Prime Minister of a devalued government."

Daniel Hannan, who represents South East England for the Conservative Party, posted a video to YouTube showing his impassioned speech that outlines his thoughts on Brown's handling of the country's economic recession.

"I see you've already mastered the essential craft of the European politician," Hannan told the prime minister. "Namely, the ability to say one thing in this chamber and a very different thing to your home electorate."

A friend sent this MUST SEE video to me. It appeared on YouTube but I searched today and couldn't find it. Evidently it has been taken off. However, it can also be viewed on this blog site that must have picked it up along with the Chicago Sun Times before it was removed:

This is an eloquent address aimed at the British PM. Much like we wish some of our GOP Congress members would have the guts to do.

This one speech took Brown down probably around five points. Face it....Gordon is just not the guy to replace Tony Blair. And his party has almost no one that really pumps up the public currently.

Rush played the soundbite today on Rush, and after that verbal beatdown, I am sure Brown was looking at his manhood if it was still there.

Just got an email to watch this, it was outstanding. I wonder if he would consider moving here.

Not a single U.S. member of Congress with anywhere close to the guts and eloquence of this guy. Nothing but sellouts and pussies on our side.

Just heard some of this on Hannity.

Quote: “You can’t spend your way out of a recession”

I get, we get it, why don’t they?

“It’s the economy stupid.” Haunting words for the worldwide left.

Too bad the “big tent” RINO’s in Congress don’t. As of now, it looks like Jindal would have the courage to say it, but who knows any more?

The Labour Party is well down in the polls in the UK. Gordon's days are numbered.

Ah,well... he can retire and watch all those DVDs the nice man in the White House gave him.

Wait.....they won't play on British DVD players.

Sorry,Gordon!

And he only takes 3:28 to do it!

He doesn’t blather on witlessly but gets on point, stays on point, and thrusts his sword deeper into the duplicitous heart of PM Brown!

Bravo!

I could watch that over and over. The speech, his analysis, his composure...everything is perfect. He remains the perfect gentlemen while telling the PM off, in very clear terms. Not one of our politicians can even write a speech that amazing, let alone deliver it. I think this will go down in history. A great British put-down, as they do so well.

There a few things the English do better than anyone. One is ceremony, the other is civilized political discourse. This fellow is an excellent example of the latter.

Well done. I wish Americans had this kind of talent.

They do get it, that's the problem. Their concern isn't the recession, it's the opportunity the recession provides to advance their agenda of solidifying their power through the growth of government.

They couldn't care less about the recession. They just say they do.

Here’s some of what he said in his speech:

“Last year 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost, and yet you created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecedented engorgement of the unproductive. You cannot spend your way out of recession, and borrow your way out of debt”.
