Y’know, if Slick Willard had been at the Alamo, he’d have donned a poncho, put on a fake Cheech Marin moustache, snuck out the back door, gone up to General Santa Anna and faked an accent, “Holmes, dude ! Check out the Gringos in the fort, yo. I left the back door open for ya. Will you make me a Colonel ?” Then he woulda turned around and demanded Sam Houston make him President of the new Texas Republic because he “saved the Alamo.”
