CNN spin. He didn’t say we were not less safe.

Someone is on drugs. What the hell was Gen. Petraeus supposed to say.
'Yeo, the CIC is a moron and we'll all be dead in three years from terrorist attacks.'
Whomever asked that question should be water boarded then sent to GITMO for shear stupidity.

have been trying to wrap my head around why Gates is still there.. He's trying to walk a line. He KNOWS if we get hit--he and the Democat party are done until Americans are lulled into passivity again. He won't get a second term.
At the same time, he's trying to pacify the left wing moonbat base by pretending he's doing things he isn't really doing or conversely not doing things he really is doing using Orwellian language.

CNN attempting the ol’ journie trick of getting arguments started where none exists.
Real Honest Headline: “General refuses to step into political debate over interrogation policies”

Right. Obama’s Move-on supporters called him ... BETRAY-US.
And now they are going to listen to him?
he is just a talking point for them that they will toss aside if he’s not useful.

Petraeus measured his words, trying to sidestep political landmines, and the Hill twisted them.

I don't remember in past wars where Generals and Admirals were questioned by the media everytime they turned around. General George S. Patton, might disagree. So would General MacCarthur.

(We will have world government. Whether by conquest or consent. Obama it is then.)

Both the Huffington Post and Democratic Underground are providing direct links to the Petraeus interview so that leftists can hear what Petraeus said in his own words.

Of course I thought of that. They were questioned on the course of the war, but not loaded questions on the presidency or politics....or at least they didn't comment.
Later, when Gen. MacArthur fell out with Truman, it was a different story. Even then, the General pretty much kept his mouth shut.
