WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. -- A Seminole County woman remained in jail Monday morning, after being accused of attempting to kill her own husband and then trying to cover up the crime.
Deputies were called to the couple's Winter Springs home after a report of a home invasion early Sunday morning. Police have since charged Kimberly Boone, 44, with attempted murder in the first-degree.
At approximately 5:45am, deputies responded to 714 Boysenberry Ct, in Winter Springs, regarding a call of a possible residential burglary with shots fired. Upon arrival deputies found 41-year-old Robert Boone in the bedroom with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Mr. Boone was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The official incident report says that Boone lured her husband into their garage in the middle of the night and shot him. The couple's two children were also in the home at the time of the incident. They are currently in the care of relatives.
Seminole County deputies were suspicious about the home invasion from the moment they showed up at the Winter Springs home, because there were not any signs of forced entry. Shortly later, deputies were able to hear the 911 call that Kimberly Boone made, claiming someone shot her husband inside their garage.
"You could hear in the background him asking her if it was her that shot him," said Lt. James Clark of the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.
Dispatchers could then hear the voice of Kimberly Boone say, "Of course I didn't shoot you."

"I'm not dead yet!!"
Can't wait to hear what her defense will be ...
You knew this was going to happen. How people think they can get away with this; I will never understand.
if she’s gonna do it, she should at least spend some time at the range beforehand...
“You knew this was going to happen. How people think they can get away with this; I will never understand.”
Of course she is going to get away with it. Combine the fact that the husband probably won’t testify against her(not the manly thing to do, dontcha know) as well as he probably made her wear high heels during sex once or twice and she will skate off with probation.
Did he ask her to cook dinner?
Betcha he still “loves” her!
Wait and see.....
Check out the comments at the link. It appears that she tried to kill him in a house fire a couple of months ago.
Guess who didn’t want to make coffee this morning!
or suffering from PMS
One of the cops hadn't been satisfied with the investigation and took another look at the crime scene photos. He discovered that the deceased had a strange round bruise on the back of his right hand that exactly matched the bulge where the nose of the bullet had protruded from his forehead. Putting two and two together, he theorized that if the man had been sleeping at with his head on his hand when he was shot, the bruise would have resulted. They went out and picked up the boyfriend for questioning, and when confronted with the photos and the theory, broke down and confessed to his part in the crime. The wife had put a pillow up against her sleeping husband's head and shot him. Then she let her boyfriend in the back door where they moved the body from the bedroom to the hallway, and the boyfriend disposed of the pillow. The wife was convicted of first degree murder, and the boyfriend got an accessory conviction. They had spent most of the insurance money, so the insurance company didn't recover much of anything.
Another news station reported that they were renting this house as, golly gee, their other house burned down just a few months ago. Fortunately the whole family was out of the house - except for hubby who was taking a nap inside at the time.
The cops are going back to relook that one.
Thinking she's a tweaker
