Newt was always Newt, when he quit the congress during the Lewinsky scandal, I knew we’d been had

Agree - that was quite a shocker that I haven't gotten over yet. He looked very promising at one point but sort of self-destructed.

LOL. Thank you for providing some clarity. There’s a tendency here sometimes to throw someone under a bus over one issue that the masses might disagree with. Unless we exhume Ronald Reagan and display him like King Tut, we’re just not going to find someone with a 100% favorability rating. Newt’s a smart guy, his ideas should at least be considered. He still makes more sense than anyone on the Dim side.

He should come out and apologize an enumerate each and everything he is apologizing for..from his sexual exploits right before he resigned, to his cozying up with the left, on so many issues.

How can he be trusted?

and advance Obama’s national death wish. Good idea.

The problem is, once you get stabbed in the back, it's kind of hard to trust again.

His intentions are made crystal clear in the video you’ve been linked to. Watch it.

Nice, that was his campaign promise.

I am wondering if the powers that be have convinced him not to end our missile defense, despite his pledge.

I can agree with cutting down defense spending...no reason for the US Military to be in over 100 countries around the world. But missile defense is crucial, considering all the wackjobs who would lob a nuke at us the second they could.

This is NOT reassuring.

“I think if we has an aberrant missile, one that was headed for Hawaii, that looked like it was headed for Hawaii or something like that, we might consider it,” Gates said. “But I don't think we have any plans to do anything like that at this point.”

Come on, that kind of thinking is what the enemies (foreign and domestic) want us to engage in: it detracts from the force of logic we have on our side.

Newt’s still searching for his gonads! Why hasn’t he organized a massive Conservative movement against the tyranny being perpetrated against the American people organized out of this White House and the Congress?

True, since Obama knows absolutely NOTHING about the military

Nonsense. Everything Obama knows about the military he learned from the Daily Worker...

If one nuke can "destroy America", then no defense is going to work anyway (no defense is 100%).

I think you are wrong. If we have a defense that is only 90%, and an enemy lunches one rocket, we have a 90% chance of survival.

Up that to 99% and we have a 90% chance of surviving a launch of 10 missiles.

This is better than our odds without any defense by a long shot.

So if he’s been wrong on certain things we should ignore him on everything else, and advance Obama’s national death wish. Good idea.

Absolutely!

If we only voted for those who agree with us 100% of the time, then we'd be all be writing in our own names every 2 years.

That's not to say we should reign in our own to stick to conservative principles, but you have to pick your battles.

astounded even me that it was said that we basically could not do anything before they have even done it.

What happened to we’re keeping all options on the table even if we knew we were not to do anything.

Anyone noticed that the old enemies are now acting up since this idiot got in, Russia is building up conventional and nuclear as well,

I agree. Why don’t we just crucify everyone who has done one thing we don’t like. Then we will have NOBODY to speak out except for bloggers on the internet. Eventually they will go away and then we can live under the rule of the evil Kenyan POS dictator for the rest of our lives.

Nailhead, meet Mister Hammer.

I agree. Probably 50% of the critics on FR now are leftist trolls. The below article link from Andrew Breitbart exposes what is going on with the left and their infiltration of Right Wing sites. As observed on FR in the last several months, no matter which conservative leader is put forward in a article, a host of long knives come out. But, these critics claim to be staunch conservatives and patriots. I suspect most are not, most of the others may be well meaning, but are executing a losing strategy for the battle of our time.
