It’s always been there, we’re just hearing about it more.

Last week 700+ LEO descended on Desert Hot Springs, CA to take the city back from the drug dealers, parolees and illegal immigrants, and barely a peep from the media. They pick and choose what to report based on their agenda.

Obama economy and CA imploding because of liberalism. People are freaking out. I wonder if much of this happned during Carter’s semi-depression.

I’ve wondered this myself. Part of it may be (as some here have said) that we are seeing a selective bias in the way these things are (or are not) being reported (surprise! surprise!)

But I also wonder if part of this is owing to the constant Doom! Doom! Crisis! Crisis! “theme” to which we have been subjected by our government and news media. I suspect that there is always a small but dangerous fraction of the population who can be easily “pushed over the edge”.

There may also be an element of “heightened expectations” to this. My wife, who works in Latin America, has noticed that often after a leftist gets elected president in one of those countries, the crime rate goes up. I guess it finally dawns on these people that there is no hope for the politicians’ promises being fulfilled, so they decide to take matters into their own hands.

This happened at Rivermark - that's not too bad of a housing development.

I've looked into buying a home there in the past, and with luck I'll be buying something in a year... ...I gotta find out the address to make sure to avoid this one, 'cause maybe it will be released to the market around then...

When a loon walks into a church, school, hospital, nursing home or whatever and kills multiple people, I sure as heck expect it to be covered. Don’t you?

I can’t say about all newspapers, but I know when I visited my parents in Louisiana last time, the New Orleans paper covered all the “little” drug and crimes of passion murders. Did they get national attention? Of course not, nor should they.

"There’s something pathological going on that makes it possible for one human being to take the life of another"

The lib/lefties have been mainstreaming evil in this country since WWII. In their world, everything we hold dear is anaethema to them and all that we abhor is to what they aspire.

I lived in Chicago during the Carter administration and crime was rampant. Nearly every night we heard gun shots outside our apartment. I was the victim of a serious crime and the Chicago police actually came to me to tell me that my life was in danger because I had the audacity to report it. This was in a good neighborhood, only a block and a half away from the Drake Hotel. A rape in our building. My husband and our neighbor chased robbers down the alley. Everyone I knew had their apartments broken into.

It's one of them urban beehives. I stay clear of 'em myself. It's been described as "upscale", but I'd say it's just "expensive". There was nothing but farmland there a few years ago.

You might want to try Santana Row. At least it's closer to stuff.

Okay this is just getting nuts. What is this three in three days? Four? I can’t even remember.

We are so going to get a huge gun ban thing crammed down our throats.

I know I’m going to get in trouble for asking, but was there anything in the news about the race of the suspect/victims?

The thing is, they vote Dem, and the legal gun owners don’t.

Been done already ... several times recently. Cars and trucks can be very effective weapons against pedestrians.

Yeah but if the pastor, teacher, or nurse took the killer down with a gun, I believe it would really be played down. Remember that woman that shot the guy at the church? The media went after any dirt they could find on her and then not much reporting.

>The media went after any dirt they could find on her and then not much reporting.< I remember that. She should have been hailed as the hero she was on that day, not demonized by the press. That made me mad. Her name was Jeanne Assam. "It seemed like it was me, the gunman and God," said Ms Assam, who has a concealed weapons permit and a law enforcement background. She added that she prayed for the Holy Spirit to guide her and that her hands never shook. The pastor, Brady Boyd, credited her with preventing more bloodshed. "There could have been a great loss of life, and she probably saved over 100 lives," said Mr Boyd. He estimated that 40 rounds had been fired inside the church, leaving what looked like a "war scene". http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-501206/I-prayed-I-shot-The-glamorous-church-security-guard-shot-crazed-gunman.html Nope. No agenda, no bias in the media./ Dangit! What happened to my paragraphs?

Been done already ... several times recently.

Yep

"In March 2006, Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, an Iranian-born American citizen, confessed to intentionally hitting people with a sport utility vehicle on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to "avenge the deaths of Muslims worldwide" and to "punish" the United States government. While no one was killed in the attack, nine people were injured (none seriously)."
