UNHAPPY WELCOME: WHY G-20 DOESN'T LOVE BAM
NY Post ^ | April 1, 2009 | John O'Sullivan

A FEW months ago, the so phisticated view was that President Obama would be welcomed at the G-20 summit in London today not as America's first black president but as its first "European" president.

His victory last November signified that America had seen the light of European social democracy. Americans would now have socialized medicine, higher welfare spending, more economic regulation and a larger government -- just like Europe. Transatlantic cooperation would now be that much easier.

It hasn't turned out that way.

Yes, welfare, regulation, spending and government are all on the rise in America, and some form of socialized medicine looks likely. So why aren't Europe's leaders cheering?

Because their agendas largely conflict with his own.

Start with the trickiest long-term problem -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. For all the Obama administration's hopes to begin improving Russo-American relations, it takes two to really hit the "reset" button.

Medvedev claims that the Kremlin also wants better ties. But Moscow seems to want other things more -- such as restoring its old power over former satellites and challenging US power worldwide.

I just caught some of the live presser. Uh, uh, uh, uh,.....I, I, I, I, I,.....what I've also said.... as I said throughout the campaign.......alright then.

Also, apparently Obama doesn't know the official titles of the representatives from these other countries, so he's just going to call them all by their first names. Greatest speaker evahhhhh!

O.M.G. You have got to be kidding! Of course, so far his hired help has not done well in briefing him or Hillary.

Rush Limbaugh said that, in these foreign meetings, the agenda and agreements have been ironed out by each countries’ representatives. Don’t be surprised to see the Lamestream Media lionize President Mumbles and his Magic Teleprompter when they come out of there with an agreement of some sort....saw this all the time with the Clinton White House.

Quick, throw in the geography lesson from your press kit: England is about the size of Oregon.

I think “Your Excellency” or “Your Highness” works for most of them.

Most of the really important decisions are hammered out by GS-13’s and GS-14’s and their foreign government counterparts. The heads of state are there for the party.

According yo Steve Doocy on Fox, Obozo had his Blackberry behind the podium, He said after O was asked a question, you could hear the whir of his Blackberry sending in his answer.

I just heard Gretchen rattle off a list of people that he took with him on the plane . One of them is a friend he took with him to play basketball. What a statesman.

Wow, and all this time I thought that narcissists were a self-confident bunch. Or maybe it’s just Zer0’s handlers who lack confidence in him.

I didn't think this would happen in my lifetime. America has come to Europe's aid a few times and now we need them to come to our aid...against obmama.
