Yep, that’s what I’m getting too.

Damn. I may have to make a trip to the big city and find some at some Bass Pro Shops or something.

Wait, that’s a MAIL ORDER ammo store?

I just never assumed they could do that so I never even looked. Thanks for that link!

Yes. Mail order.

There are lots of internet ammo sites. Shipping can be pricey due to weight.

Many offer free shipping.

Just type in the ammo you want in google and have a look around.

I’ve looked and felt this lightweight 38 special that seems to fit me pretty good and I like that it is lighter.

Try it first. an airweight 38 special can kick like a mule. I recommend 110 gr JHP bullets if you use one

Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind. Hate to have that thing come back and whop me on the forehead!

I’m used to rifles and shotguns with the shoulder brace. And even then I still grimace when that 12 guage slams me.

thank you! I don’t know why I didn’t do that before, I guess I just really thought you couldn’t send ammo through the mail.

This makes me feel WAAYYY Better because I was getting worried.

I never cared for the Tokarev, I don’t think it’s a very safe gun. The hammer rests on the pin which rests on the primer etc. But for a $100 pistol you’re right.

A lot of the online sites are out, too. Be careful that they actually have it in & ready to ship. A few of the less reputable places make it seem like you’re ordering but you’re really just another number on backorder. The dates when stuff is due in keeps changing, too. In Feb. ammo was going to be flowing in March. In March they said things will be in in April. I’m not holding my breath.

I understand that some senators are installing or upgrading security systems in their constituent services offices - expecting trouble?

I hear rumors of shortages of tar and feathers.

Another fan, eh? I'm really pleased with mine. I've had it for about 10 years; sweet shooter. Bulgarian made with an excellent finish, $80 back when, brand new in the box. Shoulda bought two or three but who knew???

The Makarov is a fine handgun. It’s built like a tank and very accurate in single action fire.

In double action mode, most Mak variants have a fairly stout trigger pull.

I don’t own one, but a friend of mine carries his on his CCW permit. He likes it, and carries it loaded with Cor Bon ammunition, which makes a somewhat stouter loading of the 9x18 round.

To answer your question, the 9x18 is equivalent to the 380 auto in stopping power. If you get the hotter loading, you can bump it up near the 38 special +p load.

However, I can't imagine there is one law enforcement agency in the nation who wants to go door to door in the event the politicians tell them, "It's now illegal. Go and get it."

The BATFE is stupid enough to want the job. In fact they want it as a wolf wants a sheep. They aren't bright enough to contemplate the sheepdogs.

One of my 60 year old friends gave his wife an AR-15 for Valentine's Day. She's already out on the range shooting it.

I doubt it's first or only firearm. My kinda woman.

Firearms prices were considerably higher than their usual gunshow premium.

A gun in the hand is worth a bunch more than one on 25-36 week back order. By that time, it might be too late.

I’ve bought several firearms this year......... none from a gunshow. Until recently, most of my ammo and reloading supplies came from gunshows.

an airweight 38 special can kick like a mule.

You can say that again. If I don't hold mine just exactly right when going through a 50 round box at the range, my hand is sore for a couple weeks (and I haven't tried +p yet).

Too bad someone doesn't make a nice compact carbine for that round. Something like a semi-auto version of a CZ Model 25, but firing from a closed bolt.

Although the CZ-25 itself would be fine, since it can fire semi auto as well as full auto, if not for the blatently unconstitutional National Firearms Act.

Obummer still has support for passage of a new, improved, and permanent Assault Weapons Ban, as well as other "common sense measures" on the WHITE HOUSE Agenda page. Search on weapon, or scroll down to Crime and Law Enforcement/Address Gun Violence in Cities:

Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

I pray the ammo companies are adding second and third shifts to keep up with demand.

I would imagine they did that months ago. What I hope, but do not expect, that they do would be to add capacity. More machines and factory floor space.

I don't think they will though, because they expect one of two things to happen.

(1)Demand dies down as the market is saturated (at some much higher level than prior to the Obummer winning the election).

(2) Obummer bans their product, either outright, or by "green" regulations and/or regulations requiring each catridge and bullet to be serial numbered.
