President Barack Obama has declared that "the United States is not and will never be at war with Islam" and spoken of his "deep appreciation for the Islamic faith" in a speech to Turkey's parliament.
"So let me say this as clearly as I can: the United States is not and will never be at war with Islam," he said.
Many Americans "have lived in a Muslim-majority country – I know, because I am one of them" Obama, on the first stop of a two-day trip to Turkey, his first as president to a Muslim country, said earlier that the U.S. and Turkey can forge a "model partnership"that bridges the religious and cultural divide between the western world and the predominantly Muslim east.

In a speech that celebrated the cultural ties and shared history between American and Turkey, Obama said their alliance has made the world "more secure." He pledged to give U.S. support to combat the "terrorist activities" of the Kurdish separatist movement, the PKK, winning applause from lawmakers. The U.S. is prepared to be a partner to help work through the issue of Armenian massacres in 1915, and "strongly supports" Turkish membership of the European Union, Obama said.
"Our partnership with the Muslim world is critical," he said.
President Obama urged Turkey to speed up liberal reforms aimed at bringing the Muslim country into the European Union.
Obama said during a speech before parliament that Turkey had made progress on freedom of expression and minority rights for ethnic Kurds, but said Ankara should press on with reforms.
Turkish entry talks with the EU have been held up by European concerns over human rights, a perceived lack of progress on reforms, and by a long territorial dispute

It's a small sample so it may not be representative, but all of the dozen or so people that I know who have lived in a Muslim-majority country (and, in fact, were born and raised there), have left and come to America to get away from religious persecution or spousal abuse that they suffered at the hands of that Muslim majority...
Very few have said that the US is at war with Islam. The mortal danger is that very few realize that Islam is at war with the US.
Oh yeah!! Maybe not officially. However, these people are already creating problems in some sections of the country. I cannot imagine that we, as a people (if not as a country), would not resist efforts of people who are alien to this nation and its customs and who attempt to demean women by making them subordinate to men, force them to cover themselves from head to foot, refuse to allow them to drive automotibles, etc, etc. Citizens of this country who do not fear and who do not resist this kind of behavior frighten Hell out of me!!!

He has deep cuts in the military, Intelligence, nuclear arms and wants to disarm us of our guns. He wants the U.N. to make world decisions - they're a bunch of terrorists or sympathizers of terrorism. Let's not forget "immigration reform" which will allow our borders to be more open and take on more shady people. It is known that terrorists are crossing our borders daily. Obama is going out of his way to recruit MUSLIM staffers in D.C. for "diversity" reasons of course. He's doing to us what the UK allowed and now it is a mess there. How much more obvious can it be?

We may not be at war with Islam. Even President Bush refused to call it that, but preferred the vaguer term “War on Terror.” And after we were attacked, he made a special point of inviting Muslims to the White House to celebrate Muslim holidays.
But Islam is at war with us. And they have been at war with the entire civilized world for 1400 years, more or less, ever since Mohammed took off on his spree of killing, raping, and enslaving everyone within reach.
Yes, Holy Hussein is a Muslim, and has always been a Muslim. And he took great pleasure only a year ago helping his cousin Railla Odinga burn churches and murder Christian women and children.

Obummer needs to go back and take a long hard look back at the photos and resumes of the twenty hijackers who blew up the World Trade Center buildings and part of the Pentagon on 9/11. Either Obummer is a naive patsy or he’s a Manchurian candidate. No third explanation is possible.
