“We are very close to game over for America as a republic under the rule of law.”

I think we are already there. Now that at least a plurality of Americans either don’t know or don’t care about their political and economic liberty, all three branches of the government no longer recognize any limitation on their exercise of power. The Constitution is a dead letter.

PEOPLE , READ THE INTERNALS. ONLY 20% OF AMERICANS THINK
SOCIALISM IS BETTER. THE OTHER 27% OF THE 47% IS NOT SURE.
MOST OF THE UNSURES AND SUPPORTERS OF SOCIALISM ARE UNDER 30.
THEY HAVE NOT LEARNED LIFE’S LESSONS YET. AS THE AGE GROUPS MOVE UP THE SUPPORT FOR CAPITALISM GOES WAY UP.

READ THE INTERNALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My original point is still valid. All three branches of the Federal Government, and it extends to the three branches of state government in Indiana as well, do not recognize ANY limits AT ALL on their exercise of power.

My response was to a specific post that claimed that the Republic under Rule of Law was almost dead. Because the government no longer recognizes the Rule of Law and the American people tolerate it, the Republic is in fact dead. We parade the corpse around every 4th of July as window dressing.

Another explanation, regardless of educational indoctrination,

is that many younger people see the resources available to older people (who have paid their dues) and desire to have what they have (without paying their dues).

Simply envy (10th commandment). And the left plays to this sin as their main route to power.

..many younger people see the resources available to older people (who have paid their dues) and desire to have what they have..

This is unabridged, raw truth.

Absolutely. It's the entitlement culture that been taught in our public schools for the last 40 years. People think that they're entitled to a home, a job, a post high school education and even happiness rather than the pursuit of it.

I didn’t check, but I have a feeling that the other 47 per cent don’t say “socialism is better than capitalism”.

Can someone find a more recent appropriate poll in China: more than 25 % of the Chinese want to have their own business. http://www.gallup.com/poll/103444/Chinese-New-Wave-Entrepreneurs.aspx
