April 09, 2009 Obama doubles down on the bow to the Saudi King By Thomas Lifson The White House is denying that President Obama bowed before the Saudi King, committing a major mistake. Ben Smith of Politico reports:
"It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah," said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Michael Goldfarb summed up the problem for Obama succinctly in the Weekly Standard:
So who you going to believe -- Barack Obama or your lying eyes?
The story is officially "in play" now that the White House has spoken, albeit from an anonymous source. American citizens are implicitly asked to view the demi-prostration and decide for themselves. The evidence simply does not support the official position of the Obama administration.

I know he wasn’t speaking for the 78.5% of US citizens who call themselves Christians (CIA World Factbook). Perhaps the “we” he was referring to is the 0.6% of Americans who are Muslims. That would make sense.

He had to get his greeting absolutely correct because I believe the term "Uh, Uh, Uh" is a grotesque insult to the Muslim people.
It's OK if it is uttered to non believers though!

I think he knows the anger, disappointment and anxiety of true Americans (The absolute majority of the population) is such that he may face most certainly an attempt to oust him and perhaps an assasination.
I think the bow was a request of assurance to protect him in the time of turmoil.

It’s worth a look at Ben Smith’s article at Politico, basically another left wing media site. The article isn’t that great, except for the fact that someone like Smith posted it at all, but the comments are worth a look.
There appear to be hundreds of comments on this incident, many of them from obvious leftists who patronize the site, and virtually ALL of them admit that, yes, Obama bowed. No two ways about it.
A few of them say, in effect, “So what” What’s the big deal?” Or, “Bush held hands with the King.” But not more than one or two percent of them deny that Obama bowed. Others attack Smith for not being entirely forthright about it.
It’s not just a bow, it’s a very deeep bow, almost 90 degrees. And it sure looks like he either kissed the king’s hand or his ring. It is a bow of fealty, a Muslim to his leader, the Keeper of the Holy Places, and paymaster.
