No arrests were made...
Woo Hoo!!!
I’m heading to the border...Go pick me up some illegals and get back across the border in THAT lane...At $1000 a head, its a win-win situation for me!!!
You know what is funny about all of this is that...Lemme stop here for a sec...
Has anyone been to any DMV office lately???
The people running those offices are not the sharpest bowling balls in the bag, if you catch my drift...
You could walk in, show them a water bill with your name on it, give them a story, and you’ll get your picture taken, and a temp DL till the real plastic arrives...
No worries, right???
Texas ping.
They are not long term residents - they have less than 6 months left on visas - that is why they were turned down.
Isn’t it a shame when people can’t take the time to read the article?
A few years ago, the Texas Employment literally had a red carpet and a person making sure the illegals went to the right line. I was behind two illegals where one produced 3 different social security cards. The clerk was trying to hush them up. People need to look up their social security numbers and see who is using the card other than themselves. People would be surprised. It’s not just illegals; it’s people who do not like America either.
You are correct - when it comes to WORKERS. Spouses of WORKERS, even when they have much more than 6 months left on their VISA, are unable to get drivers licenses. It is because spouses do not get SSNs, only workers do.
Did you know that coming in here to work? If not, perhaps you should have checked local laws -
I agree. Legal residents should get drivers’ licenses.
Nobody would tell you that you could not get a license. They “effectively” make it impossible by creating identification requirements that cannot be met without a SSN. I think that is ignorant to accept immigrants, as long as their spouses do not drive. By the way, this is not uniform across the US. I think each state sets their identification requirements.
Surprise, surprise...
I’m sure that if I had seen that, it would have ended differently...
Good grief! :(
Pingin’ mah TEXAS and General Interest lists here!
Ping! Ping! Ping!
The very helpful and polite folks at the Texas Department of Vital Statistics can have Texans a valid copy of their birth certificates within 10 business days . I had one already , got 3 more certified copies so as to keep a copy in my homes safe, safe deposit box at bank and my executors (brothers) safe. Extra copy of BC is carried in addition to passport and other key documents when I have to leave and return to conus.
This decision is BS IMO.
For those from other parts of the conus I suspect their states department of vital statistics and records can meet their needs just fine if they now live in Texas.
This judges decision was agenda driven IMO..........doom on her !
Thanks for the ping!
