Police in Tracy, Calif., say they are baffled over what drove a Sunday school teacher to kidnap and kill an 8-year-old girl, whose body was found stuffed in the woman's suitcase at the bottom of a pond.

Probably not, I just served a couple monthgs ago. Nasty case of a man accused of threatening his estranged wife. Got a glimpse into two broken lifes, and then to top it off it was settled by the lawyers before we deliberated--actually I'm glad I didn't have to rule.
So sorry. My father was until recently an interim minister there; I'm only happy this didn't involve his church.

And funny how they identify Huckabee only as "Sunday School teacher" -- not (guessing) divorcee, mother, or anything else. Is Fox against Sunday School teachers?
I’ll bet drug usage is somewhere in the middle of this episode.

Last case I was on the two defendants confessed to stealing comps from a local Indian casino. Even so, California law requires evidence to support the confessions, evidence the casinos refused to provide. We had to find them both not guilty; what a complete waste of time.
Oh no, the MSM wont dare mention the L word, even if it is a factor.
From other threads, seems this “lady” might possibly have given drugs to a child before (drugs found in child’s system, had gone to the park together). This “lady” also had prior arrests for stealing. Maybe wanting money for drugs?
I’m thinking she gave drugs to Sandra Cantu, who then overdosed?? Just a guess.

They said on the news that the Huckabee woman is the daughter or granddaughter of the pastor of that Baptist church. How tragic.
I have no idea. I'm not even sure if they got the right suspect.

This is a scary subject. More & more creepy people are coming to the surface and they know how to fool people. You find trusting people in churches so perverts are drawn there. Large churches probably have a better grip on this, but in small/medium size churches it’s easy for someone to come in, smile, say the right things and get turned loose with kids.
I know of a situation where a family joined joined a church in a city nearby. Since the pastor was friends with the dad they were automatically assumed “great christian people”. No-one in that town knew the son had some type of prior child molestation case sealed because he was a minor when it happened, and they didn’t bother to check before he was made youth director shortly after joining. Two or three months later during the week after the youth group came back from summer camp one of my employees caught the youth director, who was then over 18, skinny dipping with 2 minor girls, also from the church, in a pool which they had broken into. Out of concern for these & other girls this was reported to the church and they would not believe it. The parents of one of the girls was contacted and they not only would not listen, they called the person who told them evil.

Apparently, the story she gave to the police was different from the one she told to the press. She has admitted that the suitcase was hers but claims it had been stolen.
That's enough to make me suspcious. Don't know what else they might have.

I’d never find anyone guilty of stealing from an indian casino. these casinos, run by teh savages are racist to the bone.
what is a vice, and will get anyone of use non-indians in trouble with the law is ok to do if you have a certain amount of savage blood in you. of course you can also profit if your a non-savage big time developer and or a politican who receives funds from the casinos.
Why does someone who is a certain racial type get to run an operation that is illegal for all others?????
Indian casinos should be outlawed, just as there are for all other races. I gladly hope that more folks rip off these illegal racist casinos. so much for equal protection under law.
