We have to be careful not to appear too tin-foily and conspirational, or the GOP, and we all with it, will suffer for many years. For instance, Beck debunked as false the internment camp stuff. He is not one to shrink from exploring even the wildest urban myths and rumors to see if anything is up with it. That should be enough.
I'd rather be be unnecessarily prepared, than to be surprised unprepared.

I am not worrying anymore about what I believe and what other conservatives and patriots believe.
I know they are capable of pretty much anything and that they lack anything resembling a principle.
The DHS report says it all.
The DHS report was asked for by the Bush administration. On Jan. 23 the DHS published the same report for left-wing extremist groups. You did not hear about it because nobody cared. Why are we so thin-skinned when the second part of the report comes out dealing with the counterpart of the left-wing extremists?
Also, THEY are in power. Why should THEY care? It is US who either are going to be content with a shrinking minority position or, if we care to, bring the Independents and Republicans back who have left. The only way to do that is to NOT warn that “our” states are going to secceed from the United States, that we are going to be rounded up and thrown into internment “brainwash” camps, and crap like that. There is plenty of stuff to go after them for, and we have a lot going for us to appeal to Independents and conservative Democrats for future elections. But that is all undone by talking about NUTTY, hyperbolic stuff that gives a loony impression.
Perhaps nobody cares, and that is their position. But it is short sighted, since we can’t do anything to STOP what we don’t like UNLESS our representatives are voted in. It IS indeed all about the voting booth every 2 years. Fact is that we have to appeal to a majority of the country to move things back in our direction. We may not like it, but too often purity the enemy of the good.
Because they are demonizing people who are doing nothing wrong. People who are lawfully protesting, speaking, keeping and bearing arms, etc.,
UNLIKE people like Ayers the murderous bombmaker who walks free and counsels the president. UNLIKE people like ACORN who steal elections. UNLIKE many cabinet appointees who evade income tax.
The leftists get away with murder because so many like you see nothing different between us and them.
