Er, no disrespect to Gov. Perry or the Lone Star state but wasn't this tried before somewhere around this month in 1861? (IT HAD DIRE RESULTS FOR MY PARTICULAR COMMONWEALTH)

My forebears fought and died for the Confederate States of America and I am a native born Texan, currently a resident of Montana. If Texas does secede from the Union, I will pack my bags.

My state as a haven for conservatism. I am for it, and would vote for secession if given the opportunity.

I still think Perry will lose his renomination bid in March 2010. I wonder if is rhetoric at the “tea parties” is sincere. People in TX can easily fall for insincere politicians, and that may mean one KBH herself!
