... said the intelligence officials, who spoke only on the condition of anonymity because N.S.A. activities are classified.

Uhhh, I don't think leaking something classified is made "ok" by doing it anonymously.

Who might that be?

0bama is compiling his “enemies list”. Most of the Republicans have been “compromised” for a long time, I’m sure.

Holy cow! wonder who this could have been

And in one previously undisclosed episode, the N.S.A. tried to wiretap a member of Congress without a warrant, an intelligence official with direct knowledge of the matter said. The agency believed that the congressman, whose identity could not be determined, was in contact — as part of a Congressional delegation to the Middle East in 2005 or 2006 — with an extremist who had possible terrorist ties and was already under surveillance, the official said. The agency then sought to eavesdrop on the congressman’s conversations, the official said. The official said the plan was ultimately blocked because of concerns from some intelligence officials about using the N.S.A., without court oversight, to spy on a member of Congress.

a member of Congress, without court approval, on an overseas trip,

Didn't Pelosi just go to Italy to meet with the Pope within the last month or so?

Let ‘em listen. If they bugged me, they might find out my secret hole for trout, or my secret ingredient in my chili.

Personally, I think you have only gotten a part of what the administration is doing. They are using the argument that NSA is overstepping its bounds to curtail terrorist surveillance. At the same time they intend to use NSA to identify those who are real and potential political threats to their Washington power.

The Tea Parties will accelerate this process.

Here is the bombshell in this report:

“The agency believed that the congressman, whose identity could not be determined, was in contact — as part of a Congressional delegation to the Middle East in 2005 or 2006 — with an extremist who had possible terrorist ties and was already under surveillance, the official said. The agency then sought to eavesdrop on the congressman’s conversations, the official said.”

hmmmmm...’OIL FOR FOOD’ scandal anyone?

Agreed. And those who are picked oout will have their tax returns audited and back audited, for starters.

Thats what Clinton did with his most effective political opponents. Obama will do the same only worse, because the MSM will refuse to cover the fact that the audits are all of conservative "right wing extremists." People shold be preparing for this and organize the disclosure of it for all to see.

Who coulda thunk it?

Barry said he would end privacy. He must a done so a while back.

Crooks, criminals, tax cheats, all privy to our private lives and info.

This administration needs to go ASAP.

My tax situation is an open book. But I bet that won’t matter. The Onada machine will trump up something that will force me to hire a lawyer to disprove a double negative.

You can bet the Tea Party movement will result in The Marxist Onada accelerating his plans to monitor his opposition.

Quite frankly, I’m pleasantly surprised at the speed and effectiveness of the push back to The Messiah’s efforts to communize the country. But I fear he and his crowd will not go quietly into the night when the time comes.
