THE top suits and some of the on-air talent at CNBC were recently ordered to a top-secret meeting with General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt and NBC Universal President Jeff Zucker to discuss whether they've turned into the President Obama-bashing network, Page Six has learned.

Petty scheming bastards are feeling the heat from their masters in the White House.
Personally I believe the creeps are beginning to see the writing on the wall and are running scared.
Immelt and Zucker must have gotten nasty phone calls from Rahm Emmanuel.
Have the network suits called MSNBC on the carpet for being Obama rump-swabs?
NBC Brass Doesn't Like All The Obama-Bashing On CNBC (GE)
Glad I'm not a shareholder....
>> Petty scheming bastards
Considering how far Immelt has driven GE into the ground, I’d call them “grand scheming bastards”.
Jeffy boy has a LOT to lose if he pisses off Bambi. Not that it’s hard for Immelt to lick Bambi’s boots, because he’s cut from the same liberal cloth.
I agree with you on one important point: they’re still very much bastards.
Unfortunately, I am, and have watched as these clowns have tanked the stock price.
GE’s getting so much money from the fed govt these days to keep GE Capital afloat it doesn’t want to piss Obama off.
BTW, Immelt, I've got two more words for ya: FOX Business :)
Oh yeah. Really bashing Obama. How about Steve Lice Man? That guy has his head so far up Obama’s rear he can see out of his eyes.
The parent GE and subsidiary NBC promoted Bush bashing without concern. Did anybody at the meeting point out this fact or tell the brass that corporations aren’t in the business of supressing idology.
The question is not whether CNBC has become the Obama-bashing network but whether CNBC has become the only network of an otherwise guaranteed liberal group of media entities owned by GE that actually applies an honest market assessment of Obama’s actions from stimulus to mortgages to bank takeovers to....basic market factors that gauge the general strength or weakness of an economy. At the same time an honest market assessment cuts through political rhetoric and applies an honest defense of market capitalism. In this it is clear that Obama and Co. claim belief in markets but are doing the very opposite in almost every regard ie. running towards a socialist model.
“One topic under the microscope, our insider said, was on-air CNBC editor Rick Santelli’s rant two months ago about staging a “Chicago Tea Party” to protest the president’s bailout programs — an idea that spawned tax protest tea parties in other big cities, infuriating the White House.”
The WH is ‘infuriated’...LOL!! Our narcissist in chief can’t handle any dissent or criticism. I seem to remember President Bush defending people’s right to protest..BARRY AND HIS BROWNSHIRTS WANT TO SILENCE US ALL.
Merely reporting the facts without slanting things FOR 0bama, could be construed as 0bama bashing, since he is the most incompetent individual to occupy the Oval Office.
I finally figured it out with the Obama all the time:
He is the front man/ face of “liberalism” / Public Relations person for Rahm Emanuel and the Socialists in Government.
IGNORE OBAMA. Concentrate our concerns and attention on:
Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Rahm Emanuel.
They can’t change society without Congress - IGNORE OBAMA he is just a “stalking horse”, don’t criticize, don’t complain, Focus where the action is - Congress...that’s where the Dems are focused and where we can lose the most.
Goodnight Chet. Goodnight David.
GE used to be a really good corporation until the politicians they helped turned on them and now look at them. They are nothing more than lackeys. It’s too bad they can’t clean house and become the corporation they used to be.
Toe the line or be prepared to face the consequences!
I remember these two guys. All they did was report the news that was a great time and they were great men.
