Barack Obama reveals George Bush's 'torture' techniques
President Barack Obama has disclosed the controversial CIA interrogation techniques of the Bush administration, including the threat of stinging insects, simulated drowning and depriving prisoners of sleep for up to 180 hours.

The US government released four memos written by the Justice Department in 2002 and 2005 to provide legal cover for methods that have been widely criticised as torture and which the new president has already disowned.
They exposed in graphic detail how 28 al-Qaeda suspects were questioned at CIA secret prisons, revealing the use of forced nudity, facial and abdominal slaps and the use of confined space and "stress positions".
They considered locking suspects in a box with an insect which they claimed was a stinging insect.
The documents were released in response to a writ by the American Civil Liberties Union. It was the first time official details of such techniques had been released.
In a statement, the President said the tactics adopted by the previous administration in the "war on terror" in the wake of the September 11 attacks on America "undermine our moral authority and do not make us safer".

Well, they DID make us safer. But now that this has been made public, we AREN'T safer.
Oh my. The “threat” of stinging insects. Please, no! Anything but that!
this is the ‘torture’ we have been hearing about. Jeez. Americans should be pissed at the left for being lied to.
But did they use the bees, or the dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you?
...he traveled into the future and taped Barak Obama’s speeches, then came back and had them piped into the prisoner’s cells 24/7. [/sarc][/cynic]
OMG insects! This week alone I’ve been attacked by ants, mosquitos and spiders. Oh the torture.
Personally, I would have forced them to watch Olberman and Susan Saradon movies. That would have cracked anyone in minutes.
But I think waterboarding is more humane...
Cuban centipedes.......yesssssssss

Puss*es. They probably stole those from my fraternity in university.
Traitor!
I’d have them forego the stinging insects if they will agree to hear a non-stop recording of the Rt. Rev Hon. Jeremiah Wright
Perhaps the Obama administration can outline for us their recommended techniques for interrogating head-chopping, plane crashing, sub-human Islamists.

Tiny insects in my hair
Tiny insects everywhere
Tiny insects in my pants
Watching insects make romance
Insects make me make me want to dance dance dance
They make want to dance . . .
Flying insects everywhere
Flying insects buzzing buzzing buzzing thru the air
Just like little diamonds in the sky
Insects buzzing in my eye
Buzzing insects make me want to dance dance dance
They make me want to dance . . .
Insects crawling all around
Insects squirming in the ground
Insects gooey squeaky chewy
Should I eat them—no
Id rather stomp them hurt them stomp
Stomp them while I dance dance dance
I hurt them while I dance dance dance
I stomp them while I dance dance dance . . .
Insects make me scream and shout
They dont know what lifes about
They dont have blood
Theyve got too many legs
They dont have brains in their heads
They know theyll rule the world some day
They bite and sting me anyway
They bite and sting and suck
They bite and sting and suck suck suck
They bite and sting and
Suck suck suck suck suck . . .
Dance dance dance
This sounds like nobody ever actually got the bee treatment.
Play nonstop Obama speeches.
Thanks for that one. I like Oingo Boingo.
Ya know, they could have used bees. Drone (male) bees, which are stingless.
Army Field Manual Interrogation. But only if their court-appointed attorney is present. That's how I understand their approved methods.
Ironically, with Obama being a product of the Chicago Machine, I would think he would be up to speed with the techniques used by the CPD. It has been long known, that the First District of the CPD uses much harsher techniques than the CIA used, to extract confessions on a nightly basis.
And if you're lucky, you only get a "tune-up", to improve your attitude.
Obama and Pelosi sure love freedom of information! Information about Bush and Joe the Plumber and Palins WHOLE family! I am glad they are getting rid of that nasty ole FISA stuff and being up front with legislation and all, like posting on the ... it’s candy mountain Charlie look!
