I have already travelled the road you are on. Once, I thought there was some conspiracy of events.
My library is extensively filled with just about every bit of information accumulated since 1963, including a complete WC Report, FOIA documents and just about every book, article or mention of the assassination.
The weapon used has caused me to study ballistics, history, physics, forensics and led me to attain a degree in physics. It started me on the road to being a firearms collector and extremely knowledgable of that.
It's not that what you are saying is ignorance, but trying to point out that some of us use a scientific, critical thinking in examination of ALL the evidence and by using that critical thinking arrive at one conclusion.

No..., but really..., some people are way too “invested” in this for their own good, I would say — just by the “tone” of the conversation.

You haven’t proved squat. Your apparent threshhold for proof and consecture seems to be very high for others and not very high for yourself.
I read Posner’s book cover to cover. Granted, it was several years ago and I don’t care to drag it down off my bookshelf to prove to somebody who can’t have an honest debate without a great deal of hyperbole that I did, indeed, read it.
You treat Posner as if he’s the sole source of truth on the issue and he isn’t. Have you read any books by people who counterargued his book point by point? Probably not. Have you read any other books by Posner so you have a better understanding of his worldview and his purpose for writing the book? Probably not.
He makes some good arguments, this I’ve acknowledged. But his constant dismissing of everyone who states Oswald didn’t do what the Warren Commission says he did as either a liar or a nut is hard proof that his viewpoint is correct.
As any Republican knows, when liberals cannot debunk a viewpoint they disagree with (global warming, for example), they quickly resort to smears and accusations of lying or mental instability so they don’t have to refute the actual facts. That’s Posner’s tactic throughout his book. The fact that you order me to stop slamming him is yet more proof that you can’t back up your side of the argument.
By the way, it is “Mannlicher Carcano”, not “Manlicker Carcano”. Anyone with more than a passing knowledge of the case would know that.
