Newt Gingrich is making a genius out of me. I've been saying for a long time that the GOP is looking to jettison Sarah Palin as a candidate for 2012. While I have accumulated a mountain of evidence of this, Gingrich pretty much spells it out. Asked, by Christianity Today, who are the GOP's leaders, with Palin and Jindal as a starting point (Who do you see as the emerging leaders in the Republican Party: Bobby Jindal, Sarah Palin?) , Gingrich goes through every Republican he can think of, even someone named Linda Lingle, but...

The green eyed monster trumps what is best for America.
The only reason I voted last November WAS because of Sarah Palin! GO SARAHUCDA!!!
Newt better not EVEN think of running.
Snubbing Palin is an ideal thing for Newt.
Especially if he is planning a run or to lead some other candidate for that election.
FU Newt, you turd.
Can you say “GOOD OLD BOYS CLUB?”
Newt has long ago given in to the beltway, cocktail party mentality.
Newt still dreams of getting the GOP nod himself. He is stuck with the perpetual dream of a fat boy who wants to be popular. He will never succeed, but he will try to undermine the prospects of other, better candidates.
One might surmise that Newt, McC et.al. are determined to drive the conservatives away from the GOP and watch it go the way of the Whigs.
LMAO!!! I’m guessing you meant “Sarahcuda”. Took a second to figure that one out. It read something like SARA HUC DA.
Just saying
Newt has become so inconsistent that he is losing his credibility.
Goodbye Newtie! You're a pain in the pelosi!
They will also not limit the voters to the party members, so cross overs will consistently eliminate the conservative candidates.
Mr. Gingrich, what say you?
He and pelosi already made the best commercial to use against Newt.
Newt sees himself as the leader of a conservative movement. He may have concluded that Sarah Palin’s populist-conservatism threatens his leadership. Think of it this way: Newt gets to play “king-maker” with every potential Republican nominee EXCEPT Sarah Palin.
Ditto.
Washington insiders - like Newt, for instance, could NOT have been so blind as to fail to see the excitement and genuine enthusiasm the base had for Palin last year. I haven’t seen our side for fired up over anyone since Reagan - and that was a LONG, LONG time ago, folks.
Newt’s ego, which was already gargantuan to begin with, has probably taken a hit because the realization is beginning to sink in that his time is long past.
I don’t know if Sarah’s the right choice for our next candidate but certainly none of those losers from the last election will do, and I can’t see anyone else in our bullpen right now. I flatly refuse to vote for ANYONE who’s been part of the Republican Party political machine during the past several decades - they’re part of the problem, not the solution.
