We’re Doomed If the EPA Continues to Embrace Bad Science
FoxNews ^ | April 20th, 2009 | Peter Ferrara

Last Friday, the Environmental Protection Agency began implementing Obama administration policy with a “finding” that man-made global warming is a threat to human health. This finding provides the legal foundation for massive regulation of American life that would ultimately chase remaining manufacturing out of the country, sharply reduce America’s standard of living, and tumble the American economy into long term decline.

The EPA and Obama are just following the reports of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). But the UN is as self-interested on this issue as the oil companies — except that it tilts in the completely opposite direction — because global warming provides a powerful excuse for a massive expansion of UN powers. That is why the UN’s global warming reports involve shoddy science skewed to favor the theory of man-made global warming. Nevertheless, Obama and his left-leaning liberals have readily embraced the global warming theory because it provides a fabulous excuse for a massive expansion of the federal government as well.

It is airplanes that cause global warming, so find some other means of transportation.

I never thought we'd have a more painfully stupid, deliberately harmful administration than Jimmah Cahtah’s but here it is.

As the late great Michael Crichton noted in his afterword to State of Fear, the EPA is politicized beyond repair. Future reforms should include a process like the FDA uses, with rigorous scientific testing that lasts for years prior to implementing major policy decisions.

I look forward to the assumption of world power by the Skynet so beloved by John and Sarah Connor, as it shall by sheer logic, be able to demolish all this fuzzy thinking by supposed human leaders.

By a blast from a laser cannon.

If humanity persists in believing all this global warming nonsense, they DESERVE to be eliminated as dominant sentient species.

The one thing I’m not seeing with this argument is any affirmation by the Republicans that they will turn back the clock on this nonsense, or any of Obama’s other contrivances.

And this is critical. Right now, each and every time Obama does something more nonsensical, Republicans in office and Republican candidates should be polled on the simple question:

“When the Republicans are back in power, are you going to commit to stopping what Obama has done in this case?”

Seriously, unless they are going to reverse this insanity, what good are they. And unless they see that it is insane, *now*, and are willing to turn it back in the future, why should they be elected?

Instead, we need candidates who *will* agree to not just “hold the line” against Democrat insanity, but REVERSE it.

Government will continue to endorse and sponsor man-made global warming (even though all evidence contradicts it) for as long as it means big bucks for them and their ‘special friends,’ proving again that global warming is the most successful con of this new century.

Yes, Dr. Michael Crichton was brilliant and fearless. If you haven’t already read his speeches, give yourself a treat:
