Source says Democrat Jane Harmon’s denial “….is bull s&^t”: “It’s true. She was on there.”
The Collins Report ^ | April 21, 2009 | Kevin “Coach” Collins

Posted on 04/21/2009 6:09:30 AM PDT by jmaroneps37

California Democrat Jane Harmon tried to sell her influence to end an espionage case against to spies in return for help becoming House Intelligence Committee chairwoman.

In a newly released NSA wiretap report, Harmon has been exposed negotiating a quid pro quo deal with an official of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). The agreement apparently called for Harmon to sell the influence of her Congressional office by lobbying the Justice Department to reduce espionage charges against two AIPC operatives. In return AIPAC would lobby then minority leader Democrat Nancy Pelosi to name Harmon as the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee once the Democrats regained the Congress in 2006.

The recording caught Harmon clowning about the serious issue saying she’d “waddle into” the case on behalf of AIPAC.

As most criminals, Harmon became worried about eventual discovery and said, “This conversation doesn’t exist” just before hanging up.

Harmon has angrily denied the story over the years since it first surfaced in 2006. Nevertheless, that was before the existence of the court ordered wiretap aimed at investigating the AIPAC agent she was speaking to became known,

With a Robert Torricelli like rant Harmon commented, “These claims are an outrageous and recycled canard, and have no basis in fact. I never engaged in any such activity. Those who are peddling these false accusations should be ashamed of themselves.”

In a quid pro quo of his own Alberto Gonzales intervened in the case against Harmon in return for her support of warrentless wiretaps.

This shows Harmon’s insistence the case was dropped “for a lack of evidence”is false. It drew a blunt response from a source reported to have first hand knowledge of it.

The source called it “bull s&^t!” and said, “I read those transcripts “It’s true. She was on there.”

In a quid pro quo of his own Alberto Gonzales intervened in the case against Harmon in return for her support of warrentless wiretaps.

This would disqualify her from having a security clearance.

Intelligence leaks were used to destroy the credibility of the Bush administration.

Now they're being used to destroy anyone who varies from the 0/Rahm/Pelosi party line.

Making NSA tap results public is no small thing. It's illegal 10 ways to Sunday.

Now we'll find out if there's a single Dem anywhere willing to stand up, or if that Party is now The Party, as Orwell imagined.

Doesn’t matter. Reid and Frank and others have done worse with no ill effect.

beep beep beep

bus is backing up

sorry Jane, radicals in charge now needed a sacrificial lib to go under the bus in order to get Alberto Gonzalez AND Israel- a two-fer!

Think of it as Speaker Pelosi nominating you to fall on (or be pushed on top of) a grenade for your party

Some of us here ranted and railed against crony Speedy Gonzales from the minute he was politically-correctly appointed as AG by George W. Bush.

He was about the most ineffective AG this country ever had because he reflected to a tee the pinata attitude of his boss. He was also dumb enough to succumb to the siren charms of the beauteous Jane Harman, a fact well hidden till now.

“The writer *really* needs a copy editor.”

Due to their history of being communism shills having reduced their reader numbers to the point of near bankruptcy, they can’t afford copy editors.

But, they do have SPEL CHEQUORS and GRAMMA CHEQUORS which, arguably, they seem unable to master sufficiently to utilize.

Therefore, Q>E>D>, the writer must be a degreed Urinalist - probably from the Columbia School of Urinalism.

This would disqualify him and his boss W. Why can we not have a president who stands for America instead of a party?

Actually it looks like this is from a conservative blog. Unfortunately sloppiness like this is one of the reasons blogs get a bad name.

NPR gave her a pretty good shakedown today. She was struggling.

Reminded me of the former Governor of Illinois.
