David Keller was found dead in his home Tuesday morning in an apparent suicide. Keller, 41, has served as the acting chief financial officer (CFO) for Freddie Mac since September. Kellerman reportedly hanged himself in the basement of his Reston, Va. home. The Fairfax County Police Department said there are no signs of foul play.

Keller took over as CFO when Anthony “Buddy” Piszel resigned in the wake of the government takeover. The news comes on the heals of Freddie Mac CEO David Moffett's resignation last month.

Wow! This makes the 4th or 5th Freddie Mac hanging reported on FR today. Those guys are dropping like flies.

No, you have it wrong.

It's just that Kellermann is repeatedly committing suicide.

Very strange. The guy was only CFO for 8 months. Me thinks he knew something is up.

And that something won't be pretty. Remember all the folks that died and were associated with the Clintons? Here we go again.

What is really sad is that this will be used (maybe privately) among certain politicians to further dissuade blame from government interference as a cause of the bubble and collapse. It is easy for some of our partisan leaders to suggest, "See he felt real bad about causing this mess. The stress and guilt drove him to suicide."

And I do mean that is sad. It always amazes me that suicides and deaths of certain folks seem to help the democratic cause when investigations start. I am no conspiracy theorist. But if this guy found damning evidence or if he could show proof of some of the political corruption that was going on, there was probably an immense amount of pressure and ethical turmoil weighing heavy on his heart, his family, his career, etc. For it to drive him to suicide suggests there must have been something he could not deal with.

Is he an attention whore or is this just a cry for help?

Were his pants down or fly open? If so, it’s an accident. Autoerotic asphyxia gone bad.

It all reminds me of a song by Martha and the Vandellas, Freddie Mac, Oh Freddie Mac, When are you coming back?"

Cry for help. You note that in the five suicides reported by Kellerman so far, there is no indication he will stop.

He's a broken man. Pray for him.
