I can almost guarantee the social programs would stop overnight, and anyone who didn’t like it would be dropped off at the east/west borders - on the other side of the wall.

What about us old timers who paid into the ponzi scheme of SS all our lives? Would we be immediately cut off? Could we at least have a choice intersection with sign making material?

Good point, and good catch. I should have said that the social programs designed for those who are able but refuse to work would/should stop. I doubt most tax payers have an issue supporting the elderly, sick, disabled, vets and even single parents.

Of course, we wouldn’t have access to the dwindling SS account, so I’m not sure how it would work out. I’m sure they’d find a way.

Teaching children to save instead of spend would help ensure that a program like SS would (by and large) not be needed in 1-2 generations.
