Dear LORD....please help the UK. My heart goes out to these people. Been there...and got the damned trophy. FIL SUFFERED AND DIED, needlessly, because of this system....let alone the problems I and my child had.

didn’t the NHS fire a nurse for complaining about conditions at a hospital?

While this is terrible, I’m confused as to why her husband wasn’t more proactive. Why wasn’t he there when she was put into a cab and sent to the wrong address?

"In 2006, her feeding tube became blocked and an ambulance was called to the care home where she lived."
"Her husband complained about a delay in the ambulance arriving and taking her to hospital. He also complained that no arrangements were made to take his wife home after attending A&E, meaning in total she had spent 20 hours without fluids."
This happened in 2006 and the Scotsman.com is just now reporting this on 4/23/09? I would say not only is their health care deplorable, their reporting of news isn't the greatest either.
