The Coming Republican Alamo

Posted By John Romano On April 23, 2009 @ 5:03 am In Featured Story, Politics | No Comments

American Democracy has prospered because of the inherent balance between left and right, Hamilton and Jefferson, Democrat and Republican, liberal and conservative, religious and secular, coastal and flyover and on and on.

Three things on the Democrats’ agenda this year, if passed or unchecked, will significantly upset that balance once and for all.

* Census Tinkering – We need to watch and make sure that the Democrats don’t use the census as a tool to expand the Democrat hold on Congress. As a Californian, I’ve seen firsthand how politicians can use subtle changes in district boundaries and demographics to preserve and bolster the ruling parties ranks. This will be a tough one to monitor, but is very important.

* Blanket Amnesty – If the Democrats succeed in giving 12-20 million illegal immigrants the right to vote, the GOP can kiss its chances goodbye forever. Talk about rigging the game.

* Card Check – The Democrats and Union bosses want to force as many businesses as possible to unionize through the mafioso-style card check process. Of course, the real goal is increased union dues that can be funneled to Democrats via campaign contributions.

The Democrats won handily last year. They have the right to govern as they see fit. Changing what this country is by adding millions of Democrat-leaning voters to the system, rigging the census, or tilting the game toward Democrat-controlled unions is not, and should not allowed to be, part of that mandate.

From the article:

Obama’s reaction to last week’s Tea Parties is the first real chink in his formerly impenetrable political armor. The simple fact that Team Obama felt the need to hold yet another “important” mid-day press conference is a tell as big as quivering hands in poker.

The Dems plan on rigging the elections, so they can have one-party rule forever (think of China).

Yes they effectively did. In fact, I had to cover for the newspaper a local university speech by Obama’s deputy campaign manager.

He flat admitted that the number of new registrants far exceeded the margin of victory in many states like Indiana etc.

He said flat-out that without those numbers, Obama would have lost to McCain. Very interesting admission and goes to show just how intense ACORN’s and the campaign’s efforts were to get new voters.

From The Five Thousand Year Leap by W. Cleon Skousen, 30th Anniversary Edition, with Forward by Glenn Beck, American Documents Publishing, LLC, Franklin, TN. Part 1; The Founders Monumental Tasks, page 19.

Franklin noted that "there is a natural inclination in mankind to kingly government." He said it gives people the illusion that somehow a king will establish "equality among citizens; and that they like." Franklin's great fear was that the states would succumb to this gravitational pull toward a strong central government symbolized by a royal establishment. He said: "I am apprehensive, therefore -- perhaps too apprehensive -- that the Government of these States may in future times end in a monarchy. But this catastrophe, I think, may be long delayed, if in our proposed system we do not sow the seeds of contention, faction, and tumult, by making our posts of honor places of profit." (Albert Henry Smyth, ed., The Writings of Benjamin Franklin, 10 vols., The Macmillan Company, New York, 1705-1907, 9:593; modern spelling.)

Take note of the last part of that sentence: If in our proposed system we DO NOT SOW the seeds of contention, faction, and tumult, BY MAKING OUR POSTS OF HONOR PLACES OF PROFIT. Emphasis mine.

Obama won Indiana by a small amount, with massive voter fraud. We are one of the states currently investigating Acorn, and even put quite a few people in prison for voter fraud for the 2006 election.

The biggest tell from 2008 election in my mind has always been Obama wins Indiana by extremely slim margin, but our governor, Mitch Daniels, opposite party, opposite politics, wins by a wide margin. And there way more votes counted in presidential election than governor. So supposedly people are so entranced by O, that they go out to vote for him only, but not party line.

Also in heavily dem areas of state, like chicagoland area and indy, there are more registrations and votes than there are people over 18, which the registration part was big news before the election around here.

Either way its a fact that there was massive voter fraud going on here in the last two elections, and it always seems to benefit dems.

Didn't help that McLame was the standard bearer for the elephant party.

Best we can hope for is to diminish Pelosi's majority in the House, by going after Blue Dogs that voted for Porkulus. I call it the "Low Hanging Fruit" strategy. Given the current disorder in the Republican Party, that's about as optimistic as I can get.

They have the right to govern as they see fit.

No, no they don't. They have the right to govern in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution under which the Federal Government was founded. But I guess that makes me a dangerous right-wing extremist in the eyes of Homeland Security.

I think we lost at the Alamo. Perhaps not the best analogy.

I tend to think more of the UK model, where the Tories remain a minority no matter how unhappy people are with Labour.

More like Neville Chamberlain, I Fear.

Reagan was unable to end the Federal Department of education, as a consequence, we have lost our Children to the New World Order.
