I for one am not ready to mail it in and there are plenty to make a difference.
Do you really think that Dems are going to have the same amount of people voting in 2010 ?
The won seats because of the economic tsunami that hit us, Bush and Republicans unpopularity, and the amount of African-Americans that came out to vote for BO.
BO’s luster is and will continue to wear off, he is a fad.

And if people’s lives are not magically better in the next year, the GOP will gain seats back.

Don’t count on Republicans to make a difference. Cantor just suurendered today saying Republicans haven’t been very bipartisan in the first 100 days and that is going to change. That signals that House Republicans have decided they can live with being in the minority as long as they get to retain their House seats. It’s the “me too” Republican party of the 40’s and 50’s again. Personally, I think the Dems are a lock for a long time.

The hell happened to him? He was so good for a while and now he’s just completely rolled over.

Damn damn damn. I was proud for him to be my critter when I lived in Richmond, but no more. (Of course, we’ve got the execrable David Price down here in Nifongville, North Carolina, so even Cantor would be an improvement...)

I hope they find some courage. They were showing some for a while but it hasn’t lasted long. I guess they got tired of being mocked by the intelligentsia.

Personally, I hope to see a new party based in respect for the constitution and conservatism start up. Maybe it will be built on the foundation of the current Constitutional Party or be entirely new. Either way I’ll be there.

Just sent him a scathing letter. It won’t do much good, I’m afraid. He has gone over to the dark side.

I feel like I’ve been reading a really good book and suddenly realize a chapter is missing. What has happened to this man?

Everyone seems to be putting a spin of surrender by the Republicans on this statement. What if what Eric Cantor is saying is exactly the opposite? Sure there's been very little bi-partisanship, but exactly whose fault is that? It was That One, who when asked about 'getting along', said "we won". Doesn't sound very bi-partisan to me.

I guess we'll have to see what the Republicans DO after this upcoming meeting.

If it was one line, I’d agree.

This is a pattern.

Exactly...words are cheap, actions/votes matter.

My point exactly. His votes for the first bailout and for taxing the AIG bonuses are excellent examples.

Today he’s traveling around with Bobby Scott advocating high speed rail.

Just stop spending. How hard is that?
