EDITORIAL: Beauty & the beast. Miss USA contest shuns Christian values
The Washington Times ^ | April 24, 2009 | Editorial

Beauty contests have turned ugly. Pageants used to celebrate good, old-fashioned values, but today a young lady cannot be crowned Miss USA unless she supports same-sex marriage. Talk about tripping up on the runway.

On Sunday, Miss California Carrie Prejean was rejected for the Miss USA crown because she defended traditional marriage. One of the pageant's five judges, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, bluntly asked Miss California if she supported same-sex marriage. Her response was: "I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised, and that's how I think it should be ... ." Mr. Hilton told ABC News that "She lost it because of that question. She was definitely the front-runner before that."

Mr. Hilton, who is a homosexual, later called Miss Prejean a string of vulgarities unfit for print, said she had "half a brain," and fumed that he would have ripped the tiara off her head had she won. The judge explained that the San Diego Christian College student wasn't fit for the title because, "Miss USA should represent all Americans, and with her statement she instantly was divisive and alienated millions of gays and lesbians, their families, friends and supporters."

Same here.

Homosexuals have always been a secret society. In business organizations they recognize each other and take care of their own. In business they destroy those who they perceive as threats.

If their true vicious pettiness were widely known they would be readily perceived as the threats they really are.

You do not want to touch a homosexual. Aids and other communicable stds are blood transferable. Someone could have hit him with a cane.

It works just as well to get people to tune in. People like train wrecks.

Here’s the perfect answer for Carrie: “I find myself agreeing with our President on this issue. As he stated in his campaign several times, he believes that marriage should be between a man and a woman. I support him in that belief.”

They are truly dangerous. What they amount to is a pack of catty females with testosterone. Very bad combo. Previous generations knew what they were doing by marginalizing them.

If you can tough them, they’re not fake.

If I wasn't already aware of how 'liberation victimhood' has worked in the past, this insistence on hemophilia would surprise me. By any measurement the Afro-American-centric Civil Rights Movement has been a great success with almost no barriers or goals left unfulfilled. Yet, such well known exemplars of discourse like Sharpton and Jackson still rush to tout to an accepting media every minute instance of PERCEIVED prejudice.

In this same fashion, the 'abnormal sex' (abnormal = 'out of the norms') civil rights movement in this country has moved from the fight for non-harassment (Stonewall Riots 1969) to this kind of thing where virulent advocates REQUIRE not just acceptance but rather positive public advocacy of their sexuality. I am morally certain that this odious caricature of a judge was deliberate in selecting to give Miss California this question in the wake of the success of Prop.8. The response of the California sponsoring organization in falling all over itself to cave into the obvious bias and join in the criticism of an honest answer by Ms Prejean was equally if not more sickening.

A fine example of Political Correctness not just by the most easily offended but by the most virulently vocal. My head reels and I wonder what society will look like if this idiocy prevails like it is doing now.

I wouldn't want you to use my hand either! ; )

Not me, I would not touch that POS with your hand.

I'd be happy to defend that young lady, but I am guessing she could kick his hind end and not work up a sweat.

The best part of this sideshow is that the repugnant, reptilian, intolerant Perez Hilton is now the face of the pro gay marriage issue. No cartoonist could have produced a better composite caricature of the laughably negative impression that some have about gays. Hilton is a parody of himself. He has caused serious damage to his movement, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see some of the states that currently allow gay marriage to reverse course under pressure from voters.

Gosh. Maybe a big gang of "tolerant" homosexuals should get together and beat up Miss California.

I guess that would be OK now, because The LightWorker, The One, The Source of All Tolerance now occupies the White House...

I think a hard-core 1930s National Socialist would cringe at the actions of these hatist gay thugs...
