The deadly flu strain sweeping across Mexico and into the U.S. has world health experts sounding the alarm bells. Mexico City has been shut down. Officials are advising citizens there to wear masks. There’s talk of a pandemic. California and Texas have seen several reported cases, but no deaths in the U.S.
A NYC prep school saw 75 students fall ill on Friday and health officials are testing to see if it’s the new strain of swine flu.
The World Health Organization is set to declare the outbreak an “international concern.”
I’ve blogged for years about the spread of contagious diseases from around the world into the U.S. as a result of uncontrolled immigration. We’ve heard for years from reckless open-borders ideologues who continue to insist there’s nothing to worry about. And we’ve heard for years that calling any attention to the dangers of allowing untold numbers of people to pass across our borders and through our other ports of entry without proper medical screening — as required of every legal visitor/immigrant to this country — is RAAAACIST.
9/11 didn’t convince the open-borders zealots to put down their race cards and confront reality.
Maybe the threat of their sons or daughters contracting a deadly virus spread from south of the border to their Manhattan prep schools will.

I am following Breaking News and Veratect via twitter and already Honduras, Ecuador, Argentina and Japan have all instituted varying methods of screening at their ports of entry. I have not come across anything that the US is doing. Oh well (big sigh).
It will take much more than this to shut down the border.

I always liked the rare times when she would soften and show affection for Raj.
If they can afford Manhattan prep schools, they certainly can afford an alternate residence outside the country or somewhere in seclusion until the worst is over.
Globalists would be wise to factor in whether foreign workers they've hired (of whom many have no health inspections and may be carrying third world diseases and this pandemic) are worth their lives and the lives of their family members. Wealth without life (or the lives of loved ones) is not all it's cracked up to be.
Fact is, both parties love it as it is now. Dems for the votes, Pubs for the cheap labor.
Based on her current priorities, HHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said that to control the swine flu Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel will begin 100% checks of Americans going south across the border to stop the flow of American germs from going into Mexico and infecting Mexican citizens.
Napolitano said “I’m sure that these germs were carried into Mexico by American veterans and other right wing extremists”.
