An F-16 fighter jet trails a larger military aircraft over Lower Manhattan Monday, April 27, 2009, conducting a photo shoot that panicked thousands of New Yorkers who believed the city was in jeopardy for another terrorist attack.
A furious President Barack Obama ordered an internal review of Monday's low-flying photo op over the Statue of Liberty.
CBS 2 HD has discovered the feds will have plenty to question.
Federal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and a 747 from the presidential fleet to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the public

Given the complete incompetency that has been shown by Obummer and his entire administration in the first 100 days, this should come as no surprise to anybody. So much for what the Obummer administration thinks of New York and its citizens.

But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor’s office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out.
Federal sanctions if someone said anything? Are you kidding me?!
If I was in NYC and saw this happening, after I ran for my life, I would be on the phone with attorneys asking to sue the pants off of the FedGuv. Yes, I know it’s pointless and futile, but these idiots think they can get away with anything!
Obama isn’t in charge. The inmates are in charge of the asylum, and these back office people in his administration are complete dolts. Guess Obama fits right in!

The photos were taken in order to show Obama his new fiefdom...Wall Street.
Someone posted a thread here yesterday suggesting that the fighter plane accompanying AF-1 seemed to have a red tail, and suggested that maybe it was a photo-op for a movie being made about the Tuskegee airmen—a group of black fighter pilots—in World War II. I think the director is George Lucas.
We know that Obama takes an interest in this group, and that, according to an earlier article posted here, several of them were brought to his inauguration:

I don’t know whether yesterday’s thread about the Tuskegee Airmen was removed, or whether I’m just using the wrong words to look for it, but I can’t seem to find it.
The Tuskeegee Airmen were recently re-formed as a group, and they continue to use their signature of red tails on their fighters. The fighter accompanying AF-1 in those videos and photos appears to have a red tail, although it’s a bit too small in the photo to be certain.
Maybe the movie about these heroes of WW II was planning some sort of final scene showing Obama being escorted by the Redtails on some world-saving mission? That would be a great propaganda op for him.

So, just like you, I heard the house shake as the plane got closer. From my living room on the 5th floor, I have a clear view to the south, since there are no buildings taller than mine in that direction. The plane was making a counterclockwise circle, coming from about the Verrazano-Narrows, turning in JC, and then heading toward Newark. I lost sight of it only because of the haze but would have been able to see the full circle on a clear day. Three things got my attention right away: it was very low, it was not a commercial plane, and, of course, the fighter escort. Also, the fighter had a red tail and the plane had a white hull with blue and turquoise underbelly. That's when I realized it looked like Air Force One.
Next time the plane came around, I was ready with my binoculars. This time, I could see the seal on the right/starboard side of the plane. The plane made 3 counterclockwise circles total and hasn't been back since. This actually made me less worried because if it were a real emergency or something was wrong, more fighters would have arrived by then and they would not have let the plane circle that low and that close to the city three times.
Anyway, I have no idea why they would do that, but it was either AF1 or a 747 painted to look like it. I looked for planes or helicopters that could have been filming and didn't see any, though I see someone else has posted that it was a photo shoot.

I think that’s the idea. I think Obama ordered the military to do this for the forthcoming Lucas movie, so he could get himself into it and be associated with the heroic Tuskegee Airmen.
If so, no doubt the whole thing will now be quietly dropped on Obama’s orders.

Just about everyone knows that DC is a restricted fly over area.
From the info I got they photo op was to be over the Washington Monument.
No way they get that clearance without the highest authority.
