Republicans, including Romney, launch new [RINO] group

Reeling congressional Republicans today launched a new effort days after their latest setback -- the defection of Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, putting Democrats within reach of potentially being able to push legislation through the Senate without a single Republican vote.

House GOP Whip Eric Cantor announced that the National Council for a New America will hold its first event on Saturday with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, who ran last year and could run again in 2012; Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, another possible 2012 contender; former Governor Jeb Bush, the former president's brother; and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, a former national GOP chairman.

The council appears a way to rebut Democratic portrayals of the GOP as the "party of no" by pulling together a cohesive policy strategy by the opposition.

A big one too. He’s surround by RINOs (except Barbour). Those two will be eaten alive by the others.

Ok, I supported Mitt in the primaries. However, I do agree with what you said. Just because someone doesn’t like a particular candidate doesn’t rise to the level of hate. I thought that it was just a liberal thing. where if you disagree with them, you are spreading hate.

And just how is she coming off the tracks? Or is that code speak for, ‘I believe what the MSM has been saying about her.’

I stand corrected. It appears that Sarah will be part of the event, which is good news.

Perhaps you misread.
The post did not say ‘fault’.

The post did say Romney took contributions from the
contractors of the BIG-DIG during the time when Romney
should have been prosecuting, rather than cashing checks.

..But then Romney had to run for President ....
and then the ceiling fell killing a woman.

Do you support such coverups, shoddy practices, or perhaps both?

I like Jindal, but that speech he gave, yikes! I don’t think he is quite ready for prime time just yet. I could be wrong though.

I really like Jindal, but Perry is a more handsome and articulate candidate.

...and fresh face on the national scene.

>>>Gotta agree.
Mitt’s a well spoken, intelligent and accomplished leader.
Not my first choice by a long shot, but not someone to kick to the gutter either.<<<

Leader of what? The pro-abortion movement, or the pro-life movement He has taken very strong stands in both directions.

Anti-illegal immigration or pro-amnesty? He’s been a strong champion of both positions, and recently flip-flopped back to pro-amnesty.

Is he a “varmint hunting” 2nd Amendment champion or a left-wing gun grabber? Again, he’s taken strong positions on both sides of the issue.

Maybe Mitt should simply stop taking positions on any issues and run on the platform of “I’m a smart guy, with great hair, who doesn’t believe in ANYTHING, and I’ll run the country based upon whatever the latest public opinion polls say.”

I too voted for Mitt in the primaries in TN. He would have been better than McCain, but I have subsequently found that Mitt was playing a ruse regarding being prolife. He may have evolved to be against unlimited abortion, but his wholesale disregard for embryonic aged humans belies an at least duplicitous position fashioned for political purposes rather than an aspect of his fundamental beliefs.

If Cantor is running it, I'm for it 100%.
If the RNC is running it, its a waste of time.
