The toons in Washington could learn A LOT from this cartoon. The cartoon will make you almost jump out of your seat with shock near the end. My jaw hit the floor.

“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”

Ben Franklin

note- knowledge of this issue is very old in this country, or have we forgotten

Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged was quite prophetic as well...

It’s not so amazing that this was made 50+ years ago. It states truth and truth does not change over time.

In Grade School and Highschool in the 50's we had many of these movies/cartoons which were meant to be an educational experience. We were encouraged to buy savings stamps and evenutally turn them into savings bonds to help fund our government.

With a degree in History and Politcal Science I have seen the growth of revisionist history. It is the black bag of snake oil that Obama and his ilk who are using to take us down the Socialist Road. I don't think I was taught arrogance when I filled the boxes with soap, tooth brushes, pocket books and other fine stuff to send to the young kids in war ravaged Europe and Japan. Dad was a war veteran and all my fellow classmates had war stories and stuff to relish.

This was a great Cartoon and Hand Salute to all our War on Terror Veterans!

Enjoyable. The problem is that labor, farmers and even some industrialists *want* this new ISM (I call it Obamunism) because they think it will benefit them. The politician (Democrats, at least) KNOW it is to give the state greater and greater power so they are in on the scam.

Freedom wasn’t *won* for most of them. They were born with it so they are deceived into thinking they’ll never lose it. If you talk to the people who escaped communism, they are the most rabid opponents of ISM because they have seen how it works in reality, up close and personal. And they don’t want to be under it again.

I bring up the unintended experiment that took place after World War II. A large European country was vanquished and split up by its conquerers. One part of the country became like the capitalistic West and enjoyed a certain amount of economic prosperity and freedom that soon made it an accepted part of the global economy. The other part of the country became allied with an Eastern government system where the state ran everything, with an iron fist if necessary.

Which part of the country imploded and which part of the country saw millions flee as soon as the opportunity presented itself? Any German can tell you the answer.

And yet Americans, drunk on the empty promise of Obamunism, are rushing headlong into the economic model that dramatically FAILED when it was actually tried. America doesn’t value her freedoms any more. Our country is overrun with people raised in government schools who have been taught that the government should solve all of their problems and are perfectly willing to abandon their freedoms and the freedoms of their children for the promise of government “solutions” to all of their needs.

How sad and short-sighted for all of us.

The part that made me jump was when state kicked out the CEO, since that is what recently happened to GM, and a part that made me LOL was when the Politician turned into a record player, repeating, “Everything is fine..” since that happens all the time.
