On a related note, I saw a Homeland Security vehicle driving around today. Never seen one before.
America -- a great idea, didn't last.
Was it a Chrysler or GM? After the Obamassiah nationalizes those companies, DHS will get a LOT of new shiny cars... Solves two problems with one solution: make-work for Government workers, and increased patrols for our new domestic “overseers”.
“On a related note, I saw a Homeland Security vehicle driving around today. Never seen one before.”
Wearing uniforms? Brown Shirts?
Overtaxed Reference Bump! :-(
“Overtaxed Reference Bump! :-( “
Sorry - I like to think of it as TEA Party fuel...
Whenever you record a document; there is a hidden tax.
Only taxing the rich, LOL!!
Well, you should feel safer than ever before! /Major Sarcasm
reference bump
We also have a hotel/motel tax in our county.
Wow - and I thought Washington State was bad!
The only - and I mean only - solution we have is to begin to push back at the Federal, State, and County levels. We have three levels of ineptitude, and they are all spending money as if they have an endless amount to spend. http://pushbackuntil.com describes - as far as I know - the only way we have even the remotest possibility of keeping elected officials from bankrupting us. We, the people, need to tell them how much money we are going to let them spend - not the other way around. It will take a lot of work and commitment, but what choice do we have?
Thanks for the push back link.
Deana
No, they'll be blueshirts. Remember the campaign (teachers tell students to wear blue to support Obama)?
In California,I noticed a ‘take out’ tax on a fast food receipt.
But a few years back a fee a Bucks County, PA farmer had to pay still holds the absurd record in my book.
To build a shed on his farm he had to pay a disturbing the soil tax.
“We, the people, need to tell them how much money we are going to let them spend - not the other way around. It will take a lot of work and commitment, but what choice do we have?”
Agreed - but please, beware Dick Army and Steve Forbes - they are joining with Push Back (or vice versa) and will give a “big money” stigma to the organic TEA Parties. Go it alone, Patriots, we do NOT need organizations like this - just get to DC anyway you can - put a few million of us un there and it will get all the attention it needs - fill up the city and the surrounding cities - it’s not like you are being asked to drag cannons through drifting snow from Montreal to Boston, for cripes sake - just show up p*ssed and let them know it - Dems, Independants and I don’t care who else - this madness has to stop - make it a protest about GOVERNMENT;
REMEMBER:
59% of U.S. voters agreed with Ronald Reagan that government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.
Must not have made myself clear: it is http://pushbackuntil.com. Has nothing to do with Armey, Forbes, or any elected official. It is pure grassroots, because only we, the people, can take this country back from our inept elected officials.
