Activism
when one or several special interest groups are given an exclusive voice, when all other voices are continuously dismissed or devalued, the cause of freedom and equality is lost and tyranny gains a strong foothold. In America this eventuality should invoke alarm, but in todays politically correct environment dissenting voices are easily dismissed as the extreme fringe. In the absence of honorable gate keeping, the media and activism emerge as a force to be confronted and deterred.

On Meet the Press this morning, it was easy to see how the media manipulates polls, just as computers manipulate votes.
I'm a little concerned to see this kind of sentiment coming out just as the Republican party, and conservatives in particular, are coming out and taking a more "active" and visible role. (eg. tea parties) Might the liberal left be setting the stage to characterize anti-obama, "loyal opposition," and simply just conservative activism as bad? As in, we should all pull together, sing around the campfire, etc. etc.
My answer to that is {expletive} NO! I do not and will not follow that socialist's banner. The liberal activists didn't rally together behind former President Bush as we fought two active wars. So my take on this is you're SOL - I'm going to be more politically active than ever.
