Those who have made their lives' work painting the world in shades of gray and indeterminate pastels hate the woman coming in with buckets of bright primary colors.

Aw, don't you feel sorry for JEB? His family always told him he was the annointed one. He did a great job as governor, and now his aged dignified father and his older flunky brother have shut the door to his highest ambition.

JEB's a nice enough guy and very able, but he just doesn't get what's going on now. History has marched on by him and the type of politics that his personality is suited for.

He really should accept that and build a real life for himself, not this illusion that he can have a major influence in national politics now that we are down to a fight to the death with communism/socialism/progressivism.

My point? Well, considering Palin, Harris, and a few local women that were running for office in my area, one of them being Sharon Merchant, I’d say the blue bloods in the GOP are chauvinists. I don’t think they want to allow prominent women to take leadership roles within the party.

There I said it.

"It's agreed, then. Our agents, helpers, their spouses and their contacts in the MSM,
will attack Gov. Palin to help both Obama and us. Then we will get married in Massachusetts."

"Romney Disses Palin Again - This Time by Proxy"
"Who's Mike Murphy? He's a Romney guy!
He's hated Palin from Day One...when she was announced as McCain's VP nominee,
he was the jerkwad on the air with Peggy Noonan when she made her infamous hot-mike disparaging remarks about Palin...
nd he himself was calling the Palin choice "gimmicky" and "cynical."
They never gave Palin a chance.
They had contempt for her and for the ordinary Americans she represents."

"Murphy is a Romney hack.
Although he worked for McCain in 2000, he switched to help Romney for the 2008 race.
He now works for Palin-deranged MSNBC as a token Republican."

Spoiler Romney attacks Gov. Palin:

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Poor sport spoiler Romney attacks other GOP candidatesn:

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

No, I don’t think the blue bloods are chauvinists, I think they are elitists.

They don’t feel comfortable with populist politics, where you speak what you believe in a non apologetic manner. They are about “manners”, “civility” and not rubbing someone the wrong way.

They are about apologizing for what we believe, and Sarah doesn’t do that.

I get the sense that it's white collar vs. blue collar. People like Jeb Bush and Ronmey are white collar. And Sarah Palin is pure unapologetic blue collar. And like you said, the blue bloods don't feel comfortable with members of the working class.

Jeb and Mitt "embarrassed" by Sarah Palin? They should be! She's got "mas cojones" than both combined!

IMO, the last thing this country needs is its first Mitt or its next Bush!

The Bush family problems all stem from the dad. After RR he came across like milquetoast. He waffled on most things including the Iraq war. His son had to go in and finish what he should have done in the first place. Then the “no new taxes” thing on top of that. I somewhat liked W. but he also waffled on a lot of things and the three Bushes together would not make even a half of a Reagan. This is my standard: everyone on the left thinking of Palin is a RINO.

Elitism is not just a problem of the privileged class.

JEB and Romney are not white collar (middle managerial class). They are from wealthy backgrounds and privilege.

George W never bought into all that because he was the first born and lived a fairly middle class life in his early years when his Dad was working to build financial security. JEB came later and was much more immersed in financial security and the milieu of well off friends that come with that.

Elitism can be based not on money but on a feeling of intellectual superiority, that you know better what’s good for people. This is the fault that JEB and Romney seem to be falling into now. And it is a combination of financial privilege and a feeling of intellectual superiority that creates this elitistic attitude.

Or it can just be a feeling of intellectual superiority. Communists don’t all come from the financially privileged. Some just feel morally and/or intellectually superior and forge ahead with their beliefs about how to rise to the top (probably more for fulfilling their own ambitions than for the benefit of their fellow humans - a la Obama)

I thought I had read where she accepted

I hope not, unless she intends to go in there and seize command of the group and their (RINO) agenda.

I hope she has told the ‘elites’ to shove it.

She certainly doesn't need them. She's got all of us.

The problem is the Bushes and the traditionalists in the GOP never liked Reagan, and they’ve spent the past 20 years pushing Reaganism out of the party. Now the GOP is every bit as bad as it was before Reagan came along.

she needs to stay AWAY from those RINO losers.

Absolutely! Besides, she doesn't need them, even if they were all supportive of her. She's already got the support of those who matter, which is us.

Sarah Palin is the litmus test, whether or not she ever graces the ghetto of Media politics ever again.

All I need ask anyone running for the Party nomination is their opinion of Sarah Palin. Any equivocation, qualified answer, double-talk, and I have my answer.

It's not even about Sarah any longer. It's about principle, about her right to a place at the table.

It was the same with the Democrats, many, many years ago. By 1984 they were not even bothering to disguise it any longer. They were saying people like me had no place in American politics.

WTF?

Well, if the Republicans go down that same road, it's the wrong direction and I ain't gonna follow.

If Sarah ain't welcome, I ain't welcome. It's as simple as that. (And if Mittless is of this frame of mind, he can pee up a pole.)
