Rep. Barney Frank: Calls for Conservative Democrats to be Kicked Out of the Party (w/video)
Politicus USA ^ | May 4, 2009 | Jason Easley

After 12 Senate Democrats voted to block an amendment that would have rewritten the bankruptcy laws to allow judges to renegotiate mortgages with banks, Rep. Barney Frank went off, and called for those who side with the moneyed interests to be kicked out of the party.

Here is Barney Frank on Bill Mahr:

(VIDEO AT LINK)

Host Bill Mahr stated that Wall St. calls the shots in the Democratic Party, “Let’s be honest, the Democratic party, starting in the 90’s, also became the party of business and Wall Street. So what we really need is another party that’s the progressive party.”

Frank responded, “We who don’t feel that Wall Street should call the shots are in the majority of the Democratic Party. Yes, I agree with you that I wish there were more Democrats on one side. But what you’re saying on the Democratic side, who are on the side you want, should leave to become the second party. No, I’m the first party. Let the minority, who doesn’t agree with us, let them become the second party.”

By the way, all of the Democrats who voted against the amendment came from red states, with the exception of Democrat come lately Arlen Specter. Frank’s comments illustrate one of the biggest problems that the Democrats have in their majority. The more conservative Democrats often aren’t in agreement with the rest of the party. I disagree with Frank’s idea that the party should be made smaller, by kicking out those who disagree.

The fastest way for the Democrats to lose their majority would be for them to adopt the Republican strategy of forcing its members to toe the party line, or get out. Frank is suggesting that the Democrats move more to the left, which is the worst thing that the Democratic Party could do right now. The party has grown by becoming the party of inclusion. It would be a major mistake to start kicking party members out who are more conservative.

The RNC should actively court the “Conservative Democrats” and request that they change parties.

They won by being more conservative than their Republican challengers. I doubt their voters are seeing them in a positive light right now, because they agreed to a 9 trillion dollar spending spree.
By becoming more Conservative, they may be able to save face, but the damage is done. They lied to their supporters.

I cannot imagine any living thing - male, female, mammal or protozoa - wanting to have intimate relations with this creature....

Well, regarding that last category. I'm sure there is an alphabet-soup list of viri, bacteria and other STD pathogens happily thriving inside that handsome package. They are having "intimate relations" with every fiber of his being.

He certainly must excrete a trail of vile bionasties wherever he walks (and sits) Be sure you never shake his hand or go within spit-range.

It is mindboggling that people of such questionable character ascend to the most powerful political positions in the country.

Look at their base. Birds of a feather.....

I have not watched TV since the late Nineties, and don’t have cable. So I guess that makes me completely abnormal.

I can live with that.

What has happened to our country?

Read the 10 planks of the communist manifesto.

They now control higher and lower education, the media, entertainment and cultural speech, and are using them all for hard-core propaganda and indoctrination.

Now they control the means of production including banks, manufacturing, land ownership, oil and power production and soon...healthcare.

Read the 10 planks of the communist manifesto.

You got it, and without the help of the RINO Republicans in Washington, they never would have been able to pull it off.

Remember, we can live without the governments money, but the government can't live without ours. Starve the beast.

No cable here either. It seems that now a person's intellect is measured by the extensiveness of their cable or satellite package.

"The RNC should actively court the “Conservative Democrats” and request that they change parties. A good guilt trip can move it along a bit."

Yeah! Great idea. Now that we have identified all the RINOs in the party, let's let some more in to further dilute the championing of our principles in congress. To buttboy, a conservative dimmy isn't far enough to the left of Lenin to suit him, but trust me, these people are not Conservatives.

And there lies the real problem for the DemRats: The more conservative "Blue-Dog" DemRats are no longer able to hide behind the filibuster to avoid going on the record with respect to 0bama's socialist agenda.

Every top democrat in Washington went to Washington with little, and ended up as a multimillionaire. They must be divinely blessed, because there's no way their most important issue was making big money. (/s)

hmmm ... we have RINOs ... but what about the Dems? ... ah, I got it, DINOs? (as in extinct thinking) Right now, we should negotiate a trade deal with Frank ... 12 DINOs for 4 RINOs? I hope they do kick them out, we need them.

I think this country may actually be closer to the point of having a three party system than at any time.

I can see the “moderates” breaking away and forming a “center Coalition” that would make them the power brokers in Washington.

The Dems would become a far left party, the Reps a far right party — with a Moderate Party in the middle throwing thier support to whichever side gives them the most Pork and privileges.

third world status here we come.
