I'm not sure about you guys and I'll get reamed for this vanity but I'm so sick of that "Independence Day" themesong that Hannity uses, at this point it just makes me turn his show off.
And I don't get it "Roll the stone away, let the guilty pay, it's independence day" ???? What does that mean exactly? When the stone was rolled away, the guilty most certainly didn't pay, an innocent Christ paid for the guilty, I just don't like that song at all.
Okay, a petty vanity, but sickened by this intro song to the point of being unable to listen ...
I hate the whole show.

The song sounds pretty good to me but someone told me it was about a wife killing her husband. After hearing that it didn’t seem like such a good song for a conservative talk show.

I LIKE the theme song, but I can’t stand to listen to him any further than that!
We have to suffer through an hour of him between Rush and my afternoon ConservaBabe, Vicki McKenna. I usually do chores during that hour, if I’m home; clean the cat box, walk the dogs, go to the grocery, etc. :)

I’ll agree. I forget the rest of the song, but indeed, if the “stone” is referring to Christ’s tomb, the words don’t make sense.
Does he play the operatic tune anymore? I like that a lot.
And the Colonial music that he’s got on, and it sometimes airs around Heritage spots - that’s awful purty. Anyone know what it is?
He should use “Proud To Be An American”
His show trys too hard to copy Obermann’s humor. Maybe he needs another foil like the little twerp he used to have play the liberal.
It’s a stupid song. It was about a wife sick of a husband who burnt the house down with him in it.
I think Hannity needs a classier theme song.
I fully agree...the main reason I dont listen, is that sugar covered, gut-wrenching, theme....it is aimed at the female college set....
I am sure it means something to you, and you find it bothersome enough to post here, but really get a grip, wait until it goes off then turn it on the show like 15 minutes after the start. But if this is the extent of your issues in life, please scream into a full bath tub to vent, its a theme song, get over it, and yourself. FTL
Yep. I think it’s absurd too. That “let the guilty pay” line sounds like vengeance. Also, isn’t there something in there like, “let the wise bell right”? It always left me second guessing if I herd it right.
But then again, from a marketing standpoint, it has us talking about it doesn’t it...
Turn the radio off right after Rush...works for me. :-)
The “abusive” is misplaced in your sentence; it’s about a wife burning up an abusive husband.
I always figured Hannity used it just because he had major wood for Martina McBride. *shrug*
