In March, federal and regional authorities shut down a central Florida shoplifting ring, arresting 21 suspects - all illegal immigrants - who were paid up to $300 a day to steal baby formula. The group stole $17.5 million worth of formula, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, which had 40 detectives assigned to the case.

Obama’s fault.
At $35.00 a can (enough to feed an infant for about 5 days) the theft is huge! Stores around us keep it under lock and key.
I can only imagine the threats a company gets from nut balls wanting to poison our infants food supply.
Think for a momment if there were no such thing as infant formaula...what would all those working mom’s do with a kid who needs to be fed every 3 to 4 hours?
Baby formula is mucho expensive. The welfare queens get it through the WIC program. The amount they are given through the program is not sufficient to last the entire month so they steal the rest. Huge black market item.
Most independent retailers keep such products in locked cases. No self-service. Can’t speak for the chain or big box stores.
There is no margin in it for the retailer as the government tells you what you can charge for it. I refused to participate in the program so it’s not a problem for me.

Cops, Judges all of them are to crime fighting what the DMV is to efficiencies.
They don't care, don't have to, their paychecks come in every two weeks, pensions at 20 and out. Any police station, court I've ever gone into radiates sloth, slowness, boredom, dullness, perfunction, clock watching and timeserving.
We just voted out RINO’s and in Socialists. Anyone seen a couple of Trillion dollars?
There were guys from Harvard, Yale, Federal Government, Goldman Sacs and Unions around here a little while ago....
Same as most of them do, pump their breasts and refrigerate the milk until needed. Many employers set aside lactation rooms for the mothers to do so in private, or to actually feed the infant. My last two have.
I agree though the cost is enormous. If plain Enfamil costs that much, some of the specialty formulas probably cost hundreds per can.
These shoplifting rings have been going on for years. It’s just part of the organized crime imported to us from South of the Border.
Wrapped another one up here in Brevard County, Florida today.
The specialty formulas do a cost a little bit more than the regular formula, but not that much. My son was born premature and very small and needed the Enfamil formula for preemies (it was always mixed with milk and we kept track of how much he was eating). The can is a little smaller and costs about the same as the larger regular can. I was glad when I was able to switch him over to the regular formula.
And it isn’t just working moms and welfare queens who use formula (as I’ve read on a couple of other posts). I am a stay at home mom who needed to supplement milk with formula. Sometimes moms just don’t produce enough milk and need to go with the formula. And then sometimes babies need the extra calories that formula can provide.
at those prices you could have Salma Hayek come to your house and breastfeed your kids...

Probably Muslims. They are heavy into stealing and reselling baby formula. Many Muslim owned convenience stores to fence the stuff

Boy, I think I need a bottle...LOL!
A local grocery chain in my area treats baby formula like it’s cigarettes. Behind the counter under lock and key.
