Remember when postage rates used to increase once every few years, instead of a few times a year?

The last time around, they claimed that prices were going up because of the increased price of gasoline. Now that gas has come down by half, are the postage rates going down? No... they’re going up AGAIN.

I suggest FedEx take them over as they aren't union...yet.

UPS is a far smaller business than USPS. It's also having serious problems as parcel volumes drop during the Obama Depression.

If I were you I'd send UPS management a letter suggesting exactly what you proposed. They need some laughs!

How many here know that the PO does not receive a Dime of tax money?

They are the ONLY self supporting agency connected with the government. http://www.usps.com/communications/newsroom/postalfacts.htm

But, since GM, Chrysler, Banks, etc are getting tax money, that may change.
