He did?
FRed Ping!!
(If you want to send me an updated list, I can do some of these instead of pinging you. :)
Conservatives and their candidates desperately need to make an adjustment in their approach to the MSM.
The candidates should start by recognizing, no matter what they might say or do, the media is going to savage them. Accept it. Deal with it.
"How?" is the question. The answer is "turn it around on them". Conservative candidates should be very candid and open about the bias of the MSM, good-naturedly pointing out examples of their despicable behavior daily. A "Misrepresentation of the Day" or "Lie of the Week" would be a productive continuing feature. But stay good-natured -- poke fun at them.
The media is oh, so vulnerable on this basis. First, it's the truth. Second, about 83% of the public recognizes the fact -- that's the number of adults who believe the media lie to them and are following their own agenda. The journalism profession polls even lower than lawyers!
Make the exercise a continuing source of entertainment -- heisting the arrogant self-righteous bastards on their own petard every day.
The majority of the public would support the effort. And one of two things would then happen. Either the media might realize they're losing the battle and adjust their coverage accordingly (unlikely). Or they would go absolutely berserk, revealing their true colors for all to see (more likely).
The resulting scene could very well be the end of the MSM...
In any event, the conservative candidate MUST adjust his (her) approach.
Not to mention there was a mole in his campaign staff, who he was unsuccessful at rooting out.
Those false rumors from “unnamed sources in the campaign” were incredibly damaging. Fox did it’s share of torpedoing. I still refuse to watch Fox because of that.
yup. Nice to see someone gets what the heck is going on.
FRED! :)
Sane and solid as ever.
And Thompson gets an “F” for pretending to be a candidate and playing hard to get.
An F is much too kind. I’d rather see him expelled.
Must agree. Think of how much better off we’d be with Fred in the White House.
Or I’d be happy with him on SCOTUS.
Correct. An F is way to high. It should be a zero to match a zero. Maybe even a minus 100 would be better.
Heh. As President, Fred Thompson would have real "experience" in continuing the WoT. After all, he fought domestic terrorists in 'Die Hard 2'.
Even though that's tongue-in-cheek, fighting fake terrorists in a make-believe action movie actually ranks higher than The First Thug's...ahem...real-world "work experience."
Brit Humes all star NeoCon panel made me sick. Fred Barnes was insufferable with regards to Thompson.
Never watched since.
Right said, Fred!
He was pointing out That One's flaws all during his campaign. But he wasn't telegenic enough for some conservatives, who were afraid that he couldn't hold his own in a campaign against That One. So he didn't get the votes in the primaries.
Fred got into the ‘08 mix too late, but, I have not given up on his future. I hate to say it, but, he looks a bit emaciated. Beef back up, Fred.
So, does it concern you that the front end primaries might have been rigged?
It concerns me.
Is that just your opinion, or do you have evidence to back up that assertion?
Especially the part that he let our country down...
Fred is actively supporting Bob McDonnell in this years Virginia gubernatorial election.

“”Thompson Raises $170,000 for McDonnell
For the second time in the last year, former presidential candidate Fred Thompson has helped Republican Robert F. McDonnell raise a heap of cash for his campaign for governor of Virginia.
Thompson brought in $170,000 for McDonnell at a fundraiser Saturday in Charlottesville, according to McDonnell’s campaign.
The former Tennessee senator headlined an event at the Farmington County Club attended by 75 people.
A June 2008 event in Virginia Beach raised more than $300,000.
McDonnell raised $2.2 million in his campaign in the three-month period that ended March 31 with the help from Thompson, Arizona Sen. John McCain, former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Thompson, who owns a house in McLean, is well-known outside the political world. He played New York District Attorney Arthur Branch on the Emmy Award-winning NBC drama Law & Order and has appeared in more than 20 films, including Days of Thunder and The Hunt for Red October.””
