(05-08) 15:31 PDT Columbia, S.C. (AP) --
An Alabama man convicted of killing a police officer has been executed in South Carolina.
Thomas Treshawn Ivey was put to death by lethal injection and pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m. Friday in the state's death chamber in Columbia. The 34-year-old made no final statement.
Ivey had been awaiting execution since 1995, when he was convicted of killing Tommy Harrison. Prosecutors said Ivey shot the 38-year-old Orangeburg police sergeant in 1993 after trying to pass a bad check.

Double killer
Ivey also had been sentenced to death for killing a South Carolina businessman several days before he killed Harrison.

A cop killer arrested, tried, convicted, appeals exhausted, executed.
Officer Down Memorial Page
So why can't a San Francisco police sergeant's murder be at least investigated? It happened in 1970 for gosh sakes!
Wot?
The suspects are distinguished professors, MSM favorites, influential Democrats.. and WOT?! Friends of the president of the United States?!

Well, to be accurate, McVeigh could have dragged it out, too. But he opted to die.

McVeigh could have dragged it out, too. But he opted to die. It still stinks.
Someone wanted him quiet, very quickly.

Liberal judges.
Surprised cops bring cop killers in to turn them over to the justice system in the first place.
Like our troops capturing terrorists and then whatever govt. releases them. Don’t bring them in,
To: fso301
For the record, Timothy McVeigh waived all rights of appeal and speeded up his own execution.

I agree with what you said about why bring them in. The problem is everybody and his brother owns a cellphone with a camera in it. Unless you are in the middle of the desert with absolutely no one around, there is no chance of getting away with anything. Trust me, if I knew I could get away with something like that, I;d be the first to do it.

You are right.
Cameras are every where.
Just today driving across town I noticed at every corner is a “traffic monitoring camera”. And just try to find a business unmonitored.
Course there are no available films of McVeigh and his buddies in Okie City, not a one.
