On the thorniest of political issues, President Obama has embraced the enforcement-first position on immigration that he criticized during last year's presidential campaign, and he now says he can't move forward with the type of comprehensive bill he wants until voters are convinced that the borders can be enforced.
Having already backed off his pledge to have an immigration bill this year, Mr. Obama boosted his commitment to enforcement in the budget released Thursday. The spending blueprint calls for extra money to build an employee-verification system and to pay for more personnel and equipment to patrol the border.

He is lying. The man always lies, he lies with incredible brazenness, he lies with shocking shamelessness. He always does the opposite of what he says.

I can hear the ratchet operating again. The same ratchet which ended up with Obama’s claimed position being almost the same as McCain’s just before the November 2008 election.

Being Obama, he prefers the “turn loose the jack boot thugs” approach to the “prevent the problem” approach.

Didn’t I hear that he pulled funding for the fence now, and isn’t going to install it, even though Congress approved it when Bush was still President. It’s part of the 1% of his 3 trillion dollar budget that he’s claiming he “saved.” He’s worse than John Kerry at flip-flopping.
To: jveritas
Did I say I believed it!!!! No it's another both sides of the deal, the unions are dead set against it and with their help and the republicans it would have gone down worse than the last time, people are out of work. The only supports are the Home Builders association and Tyson Foods, ETC, ETC,

The Obama administration will continue efforts "to finish up the fencing to get as close to the 670 miles of fence that has been previously identified," the aide said. This would have been new money budgeted not the old jorg lie. The 670 number is BS as well.

Good translation, I like this one:
“Now that I am elected, I really don’t need you and I have better things to do with my time like running the automakers.”
