Outrage Movie: Charlie Crist, Ed Koch, Mark Foley Gay
Right Pundits ^ | May 8, 2009 | Ignatius Reilly

“Outrage” is the talk of the Tribeca film festival. The documentary by filmmaker Kirby Dick claims that several politicians who vote “anti-gay” on political issues are actually gay themselves, and have had verifiable trysts with men. The documentary contains interviews with men who claim to have had sex with these “anti-gay” politicians.

Of course, many liberal media outlets are trying to keep the identities of the politicians “outed” by Outrage a secret. Some claim that sexuality (even for politicians) is a personal issue that should not be made public without consent under any circumstances. That is sheer nonsense. In the internet age, a secret can only be kept for about 5 seconds.

Below is a list of politicians that the “Outrage” film claims are gay:

Charlie Christ, Florida governor Ed Koch, former Mayor of New York David Dreier, California Congressman Larry Craig, Idaho Senator Mark Foley, Florida Congressman

Several politicians who have outed themselves publicly are also included, like James McGreevey, former New Jersey governor, and Senator Barney Frank.

I have to admit that I am persuaded by Kirby Dick that outing is actually NOT immoral or unprofessional. Journalists investigate heterosexual scandals all the time. We do not question whether revealing John Edwards’ affair to the public is acceptable for journalists. We assume that reporters have the right, nay, the DUTY, to reveal whether John Edwards is cheating on his wife. We know what Bill Clinton did with a cigar, we know what he did with Paula Jones, we know what he did pretty much every second of every night in every bed of his life. So why is it wrong if a journalist questions if Charlie Crist, Ed Koch, or Mark Foley had sex with a man? If any one of them did, frankly, the public has a right to know.

I have no idea whether any of the above are actually gay, but since when is it wrong to investigate the sex life of a public official?

See the trailer for “Outrage” below. I am betting Mr. Dick did not expect to see an ally on Right Pundits.

Rumors about Koch have been going around since before he was NYC’s Mayor. He has never confirmed or denied it. He just keeps his sexuality private, where it belongs. That being said, who was the Party that used rumors, saying vote for Cuomo not the Homo? The Dems who claim they support the Gay community. And as we all know, all they support is getting the vote. They couldn't care less for any group they supposedly support.

“DIdn’t Charlie just get married to a pretty HOT chick? How is he gay?”

It was for appearance.

Rock Hudson also got “married” to Phyllis Gates. It was a prearranged marriage so he wouldn’t lose his macho image.

My concern is the sources. The movie maker had better be certain he’s outing people that can’t turn around and sue for, oh geez...I see the problem now. You sue for “defamation” and the homosexual activists get angry because you sued for “defamation”.

"I thought the age of consent was 18 everywhere in the US.

This is an easy mistake to make. They're are widely varying consent laws all over the US. In many states it is 18. But, in many others it's 17. And in other states, it can be even younger so long as the "partner" is no more than two or sometimes three years older than the youngest participant - ie. A 16 year old girl can legally have sex with a 17 year old boy, but not a 25 year old boy. It can get very confusing.

"All but the National Enquirer covered that up until he was out of the race, then were embarrassed into printing the story next to the horoscopes.

Without question, if the traditional media would have printed the Edwards allegations when they learned of them (early spring of 2008, some even earlier), Barack Obama would certainly not be President today. Edwards candidacy clearly hurt Hilary and easily kept her from securing the party's nomination.

The fact that the media did not to report in a serious way these Edwards (accurate) affair rumors, will be talked about for decades to come by Presidential historians.

Mark Steyn (on for Rush) pointed out that many gays are not in favor of gay marriage. It’s so stuffy and mainstream. They prefer another lifestyle ... the witty, sophisticated thing.

So, it’s not really necessarily correct to say that these people, even if gay, are being hypocritcal to oppose gay marriage.

There was ever any evidence that that Foley didi anything other than send provacative text messages. While that is disturbing to me, it is far from a charge of molestation.

How is he gay?

It is done for the express purpose of misleading you. Remember Mrs. Rock Hudson?

Why should they be protected if Sarah isn’t?

Boy, that's a heckuva principle. Sarah was treated terribly, so everyone else should be, too. Those are real words to live by.

The left is outing these supposed homosexuals only because they don't vote as the left believes all homosexuals should vote. It's also the reason they demonize conservative blacks and conservative women (like Sarah).

But, you're down with it. Cool.

Crist is supposedly MINO. He needed a cover marriage because of all the rumors about him in case he was picked for VP in 2008 or runs for Senate in 2010. He supposedly has been seen in gay bars in Florida. I do not know his sexual preference and do not care.
