Not to be argumentative, but this is SCAM, SCAM, SCAM all the way.
It'll kill the economy all right. But it sure won't cure anything. We're more looking at a new ice age than we are global warming.
But the plan as I understand it is to enrich the federal coffers by something like 300 billion with this abortion of a bill which just amounts to a hell of a tax on energy.
It's obvious that Waxman and Zero have never read Aesop's fable about killing the goose that lays the golden egg.
As another Freeper commented, people in our government want us to believe that if they raise our taxes, they can control the weather. Insane.
