OBAMA HAS IT IN FOR CHEERIOS
boblonsberry.com ^ | 05/13/09 | Bob Lonsberry

When you put Democrats in charge, stupid things happen.

Remember those words. Every few days you will see something on the news to remind you that they are true.

Like Cheerios.

The new Democrat-controlled Food and Drug Administration has decided that Cheerios are a drug and are under its control.

That’s one of the dominant themes of Change You Can Believe In. Control. The government takes control, you lose control. The government gets more powerful, you get less free.

Now it extends to breakfast cereal.

Having taken over General Motors, now the Democrats want to take over General Mills. At least it seems that way.

I guess you can blame it on the oats. Cheerios are made of oats. Whole-grain oats, including the soluble fiber that makes them so healthy.

See, oats contain a substance that seems to suck cholesterol out of the blood. Doctors think that’s good for you because cholesterol is bad for you – at least excess cholesterol is.

And people are worried about cholesterol. Most people over 40 know their cholesterol levels and wish they were lower. There are drugs, expensive drugs, that you can take to lower your cholesterol.

And there are oats.

Eating oats can be better for lowering your cholesterol than taking drugs.

That’s good news.

And Cheerios has put that news on the front of its box. Specifically, Cheerios claims that by eating it for a month, you can lower your cholesterol by as much as 10 percent.

And that’s not a con.

Study after study bears it out.

So Cheerios are a good thing. So are oatmeal and some other oat products.

But this is about Democrats. And while oats will clean you out, Democrats will clog you up.

Thus the letter.

The Democrat-controlled Food and Drug Administration has written General Mills saying that Cheerios behave like a drug. If taking them for a certain amount of time will lead to a specific therapeutic outcome – lower cholesterol – then that makes them a drug.

And the FDA controls drugs.

And so the FDA wants to control Cheerios.

Specifically, the Obama FDA wants General Mills – evil “Big Food” in Democratspeak – to submit an application to approve Cheerios as a drug, and an application to review and approve Cheerios’ advertising.

Cheeri-freaking-os.

Invented in 1941, sold around the world since, mostly made in Buffalo, New York, the world’s first and still most-popular cold, oat breakfast cereal is in trouble with the Obama Democrats.

And they want to see its papers.

They want to check it out. They want to approve its advertising.

Plain-old Cheerios.

It’s come to this. The preposterous and autocratic arrogance of the Democrat Saviors is bubbling over in ever more ridiculous directions.

They’ve decided that a nearly 70-year-old breakfast cereal, made from the simplest and most wholesome ingredients, is something that neither General Mills nor the American people can be trusted with.

So I’m going to start eating it.

My cholesterol’s fine, but my blood pressure’s up. I’ve got a bad case of Democrat-induced hypertension.

And my breakfast cereal is going to be a protest against the morons who think it is a drug. I’m writing a prescription for my cereal bowl.

Mark my words: When you put Democrats in charge, stupid things happen.

that’s the troubling part, TSP is used to clean surfaces. Have used it to clean concrete. It can be bought in containers at Hope Despot or any hardware store. While I can’t be for certain, I do think it’s the TSP in cheerios that gives me the runs.

Yeah, but its the dihydrogen monoxide in the milk that’s got me really worried. And it’s there in a concentration 100 million times higher than the TSP in the Cheerios dough.

That alone ought to give you reason to stop and think.

The troubling part for me is, dihydrogen monoxide is used to clean surfaces. I have used it to clean concrete and my asphalt driveway. It can be bought in containers at Hope Despot or any hardware store, or even at a supermarket. While I can’t be for certain, I do think it’s the dihydrogen monoxide in the milk that gives me the runs.

In fact I’m certain of it.

So if food is good for you, then it’s a drug. And the government/Obama will control who gets the drugs/food.

This is just a government shakedown for mob money. It has its “reporters” print a story about an industry or business then the Congresspeople send the company a letter asking for campaign funds to protect the company from its government.

If food is a drug, then the government is an ass.

And, wonder of wonders, it is!

Then you have morons like Colon Powell running around saying that Americans WANT more government.

Let HIM eat Cheerios and get TSP poisoning! And dihydrogen monoxide poisoning at the same time, providing he uses milk on his Cheerios. hen he can complain to that big government he says we all want.

Absolutely dihydrogen monoxide is dangerous. For more information go to:

URL: http://www.dhmo.org/environment.html

excerpt:

* DHMO contributes to global warming and the “Greenhouse Effect”, and is one of the so-called “greenhouse gasses.”

* DHMO is an “enabling component” of acid rain — in the absence of sufficient quantities of DHMO, acid rain is not a problem.

* DHMO is a causative agent in most instances of soil erosion — sufficiently high levels of DHMO exacerbate the negative effects of soil erosion.

* DHMO is present in high levels nearly every creek, stream, pond, river, lake and reservoir in the U.S. and around the world.

* Measurable levels of DHMO have been verified in ice samples taken from both the Arctic and Antarctic ice caps.

* Recent massive DHMO exposures have lead to the loss of life and destruction of property in California, the Mid-West, the Philippines, and a number of islands in the Caribbean, to name just a few.
* Research has shown that significant levels of DHMO were found in the devastating Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 which killed 230,000 in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and elsewhere, making it the deadliest tsunami in recorded history.
* It is widely believed that the levee failures, flooding and the widespread destruction resulting from Hurricane Katrina along the U.S. Gulf Coast in 2005 were caused or exacerbated by excessive DHMO levels found in the Gulf of Mexico, along with other contributing factors.

Good thing these nazis weren't around when I was a kid..
"Wonder Bread. Helps build strong bodies 8 ways" (1)

Barry's FDA Gestapo would be planning a raid.

(1) Later on they changed it to '12 ways'. Oh the horrors!

You are in luck because Buttcrack Odumba is about to wage an all out war on dihydrogen monoxide. And it’s ironic that when I eat Cheerios that is laced with TSP, my runs is full of dihydrogen monoxide as well. Is it just a coincidence?

Bad food gets taxed. Good food gets regulated. Only tyrants use food as a weapon.

Also, at night the BIGGEST RATS I have ever seen would come out and feast on cheerios.

Which only goes to prove that the biggest RATS are smarter than the average libtard.

Don’t forget the high concentrations dihydrogen monoxide they found in the boys responsible for the Columbine High School massacre. To think that this gets sprayed on our crops, what’s the world coming to.

Of course the politicians in Washington want to control everything. That's why they're politicians. Their dream is absolute control over the richest nation the world has ever known. Should that surprise anyone? Of course not.

What boggles the mind is that millions of Americans actually want to increase the amount of wealth and power flowing into Washington.

Exactly.
I've never heard of one Race Horse having High cholesterol!

Yeah, maybe some bleeding problems from illegal drugs but that's .. a Horse of a different color!

I have to laugh. If taken seriously, Barry's people and their loony-toon ideas will make me cry. ['series', These nuts need to be reigned in.]

This is no doubt a runup to government provided health care. Now that “The Government” will be paying, it will assuredly insist on regulating what people eat. Heck, it’s already started. NYC has already banned certain cooking fats and the fast food industry has been under attack for years now. And lest we forget that The Marxist Onada wants to pay for national health care by taxing soda—now considered a junk food.

If one follows the Cheerios logic then anything we eat has the potential to produce a therapeutic result. That’s precisely why we eat in the first place. We need the vitamins and other chemicals meat and vegeatables produce to be healthy.

Toufu anybody?
