2nd congressman: Prove eligibility Virginia representative signs onto plan to demand evidence

A Virginia congressman, very quietly, has signed onto a measure in Congress that would require presidential candidates to verify their eligibility to hold the highest elected office in the United States.

WND earlier reported when freshman Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., filed H.R. 1503, an amendment to the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971.

According to the Library of Congress' bill-tracking website, H.R. 1503 would "require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of president to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution

Glad to see that, but it doesn’t have a chance on being voted on.

That’s all well and good but how about we just enforce the laws already on the books instead of wasting more money. This won’t do anything to help produce Hussein’s bc since it speaks to future candidates.

This bill must require that then candidate him/herself must authorize the custodian of vital records in his/her state of birth to release to the Federal Election Commission *and* the press a *true* copy of their birth certificate. This is because some states (but not all) have *very* restrictive laws regarding the release of such records.Hawaii is one such state. And the reason for the requirement to release it to the press as well as the FEC is obvious.

So you think Obama is not planning on running in 2012?

So you think there will still be elections in 2012?

Months back I predicted that Obama would name someone like Jenny Granholm to the supreme court and someone obviously inelgible to run for president would show up demanding a right to hold office.

I agree with you!

You know...something just occurred to me.I've done quite a bit of family research in the past,so I have some experience hanging around in state vital records offices...particularly New Hampshire and Massachusetts.NH has very restrictive laws regarding the release of such records (as do other states) but MA has very lax laws on the subject (as do other states). In MA,at least,*anyone* can walk in to the state archives office in Boston and, without presenting any ID,can ask to see *any* birth, marriage, divorce or death record and be given that record...the original,*official* record. It just occurred to me that in MA,at least, there would be *nothing* to stop a person from tearing that *official* record out of the book (they're in huge, heavy books containing hundreds..or thousands...of records each) and sticking it in their pocket.Something like this could present a *very* tempting opportunity to a dishonest future...or current...presidential candidate.

There will be elections but they won’t be anywhere near honest.

We have to get a lot of gutsy, conservatives in office in 2010 who will stand up for the Constitution. Not just vote for them but also work on their campaigns.

Is any President above the law? How about Presidetnt Bush? How about President Obama?

It seems Sen. Leahy and other Democrats enthusiastically want to open a Congressional hearing to find out if President Bush was acting as if he, Bush, was above the law when it came to this torture issue.

Sen. Leahy: Yesterday, May, 13, 2009.

I was watching Sen. Leahy being interviewed by Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC. Listening to the good Sen. Leahy made me sick.

1. Sen. Leahy was going on and on about this torture issue that occurred during the Bush administration and asking over and over again whether or not President Bush was acting as if he was above the law.

2. Sen. Leahy kept emphasizing over and over that President Bush, or any President, was NOT above the law.

3. I think Sen. Leahy was making the point that President Bush was not above the law when it came to his handling of this torture issue and that Bush and his administration must be investigated in order to find out if they broke the law when it came to this torture issue.

4. Well, what about President Obama, I wanted to ask Sen. Leahy through my tv screen as I cringed in disgust at Leahy’s Democratic holier-than-thou attitude.

5. Obama’s eligibility issue: Is Obama above the law when it comes to proving that he is eligible to be President under the laws of the Constitution of the United States. Sen. Leahy?

6. Leahy, why don’t you begin a full-fledged Senate investigation into whether or not Obama believes that he is “above the law” by refusing to provide any documents whatsoever—like a long form birth certificate, birth hospital records, and college records from Occidental, Columbia , and Harvard—that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he, Obama, was born in the United States?

7. Leahy is a Hypocrite: So, Sen. Leahy. I say you are being a hyprocrite when you cry, on the one hand, that no President, especially President Bush, is above the law, while, on the other hand, you conspicuously ignore the obvious fact that President Obama is acting as if he is “above the law” by openly refusing to provide any proof that he is eligible to be President of the United States under the laws of the Constitution of the United States.

8. So, Sen. Leahy, why don’t you put your money where your mouth is and investigate if President Obama is acting as if he is “above the law” by refusing to provide any proof that he, Obama, is even eligiblie to run for President of the United States?

9. You can start by publicly asking Obama these simple questions:

a. What is the name of your birth hospital?

b. Why won’t you release your college records at Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard?

c. Why won’t you release your Hawii long form birth certificate? What are you scared of?

Again, I agree! When Conservatives stand up for Conservatism, it wins..... People live primarily as Conservatives! Case in point- in the liberal blue, blue States of California and Oregon, even voters there voted to ban same-sex marriage.

Leahy, yes let's have a full congressional hearing of the waterboarding. Let the American people see the info we received from these worthless.....
I know one of the terrorist acts which was stopped was the destruction of the Brooklyn Bridge. How about having the people who cross the bridge at that time attend the hearings & ask Leahy: choose, the lives of these people or some terrorist being afraid of drowning?

Waterboarding torture used on Obama:

Do you think that Obama would finally reveal (1) where he was born, (2) his birth hospital records, (3) his long form birth certificate, and (4) his Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard college records if somehow Obama was questioned while undergoing waterboarding methods?

Just joking, I think.
