Pelosi: Bush briefers lied to me
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says Bush administration told her explicitly they weren't using waterboarding on terror detainees during a Sept. 2002 briefing on interrogation tactics -- months after they had begun waterboarding Abu Zabaydah.
Pelosi also called on CIA director Leon Panetta to release full details on her briefing -- and shook her head in the affirmative when asked if the administration had actually "lied" to her.
"The only mention of waterboarding in the briefing was that it was not being employed," she told reporters, reading from a prepared statement -- twice for emphasis.
The intelligence briefers gave Pelosi, she said, "inaccurate and incomplete information."
"Perhaps they should release the briefing-- I would be very happy if they released the briefing," Pelosi added.

If the intent of this is to remove Ms. Pelosi from the speakership I believe that those making the effort may come to rue the day they made this decision. Ms. Pelosi is one of the least intelligent (though quite clever and cunning) people to hold that position. And it is apparent that the speakership is her life. She will fight tooth and nail to keep hold of it. Ever try to take a bone away from a hungry dog? This ought to be fun to watch as she could make a real mess of it.
If that is her excuse, she is unfit for office.

If a Pelosi falls apart in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does the Pelosi really fall apart?
This has yet to be talked about on ANY of the nightly broadcast news casts - Nada, nothing, zip, zero. If the American people aren't informed of her hypocrisy, how can they ever be outraged by it?

When questions were raised last month [April] about these statements, Mrs. Pelosi insisted at a news conference that “We were not — I repeat — were not told that waterboarding or any of these other enhanced interrogation methods were used.” Mrs. Pelosi also claimed that the CIA “did not tell us they were using that, flat out. And any, any contention to the contrary is simply not true.” She had earlier said on TV, “I can say flat-out, they never told us that these enhanced interrogations were being used.”

None of it will matter anyway. The lib’s are snubbing America, uncontrolled spending and taxes are rampant. They are willfully destroying our economy bill by bill and aren’t aren’t even apologizing or denying it for the most part anymore ... the public has become acceptant of it and the treachery will grow by previously unseen leaps and bounds. My stomach is sick from the past 3 months of this garbage. I can’t even watch the news anymore out of fear of spitting on my own TV set. Our republic has been hijacked by socialists. The only thing left to do is step back and figure out how to unseat them. I hope it doesn’t come down to what I think it will, but I stand ready to do my part when the day comes.
