Your impulse is commendable, but that ship has sailed. There is no way that the Democrats can be effectively fought in the public square unless ex-public Republicans will stand up and call the shots on them fair and square. The ones still in the running have to hedge their words and so won’t be effective critics. Those who have retired have no such necessary restaint and can play the bad cop.
And Mr. Cheney makes an awfully good bad cop, wouldn’t you say?

Just 38% of U.S. voters agree with former Vice President Dick Cheney that America is less safe now because of changes President Obama has made in national security. Lol...one guy says this. The rest of the media constantly touts the virtues of Obama and has denigrated and demonized Cheney and Bush for the last 10 years and it's STILL 38% agree with Cheney?
To: Oldeconomybuyer
I expect that number to change rather quickly.

38% is about right; intelligent informed people. That leaves 62% of the people who are dumb (liberal) or un-informed.

Nice, that's higher then his approval rating when they left office, tide is moving up already, I thought it would be about 3 or 4 years till before the numbers for Bush and Chaney stared to go up.
Poll translates the support for Chaney is on the rise.

Obama's still living off of Bush-era security capital. He's squandering it quickly, though.
I'd say take this poll again within a year and see how it looks.
If we get hit, look for Obumbler to immediately blame the previous admin, though. I think that's what Cheney is trying to innoculate against with his recent statements, though. Bully for him.

The more I see and hear Chaney, the more I like him. He is a good man and loves this country. He is doing what he believes is best for us. When I see the Democrats and the MSM go after him and vilify him it makes me sick. Bush is a good and honorable man as well.

There will be another 9/11 style attack. When? Who knows. But sadly it will happen.
Does Obama’s actions move the date to sooner rather than later? Maybe, but who knows. Terrorists tend to work on their own timetable. No one seems to know the windows of opportunities they will exploit or ignore.

Higher number than I expected. If 40% think Obama has hurt national security after only 4 months ... the number could be far higher after 4 years.

How many of those polled even knew what Obama did to damage US security? My guess is not many more than 38% even knew what Cheney was talking about.

“Just 38% of U.S. voters agree with former Vice President Dick Cheney.....”
So in other words: Nearly 40%, which is just short of half of those polled, agree that the democrats have emboldened our enemies for political gain, made our country less secure from terrorist attack, and placed Americans fighting troops at far greater risk, and all during a time of war.
I can’t speak for others, but a nearly 40% increased of concern that terrorists could kill hundreds of thousands of Americans, as well as cut off the heads of my loved ones.... is quite serious.
All for political gain, all for power, all because of lies from the mouth of Pelosi.
Were I to believe these polls were legitimate........

I loved SecDef Richard Cheney, hoped he would run for president after that,he didn't. I think he is the best Vice President ever and wish he would have run for president in 2008.
I don't think he could have won but he sure would have made it interesting.
There is only one Dick Cheney and one Donald Rumsfeld.

War in a democracy needs continuous loss of civilian lives other wise the citizens will not believe the war is necessary.
Potential threat is not enough.
