Obama Throws Himself Under the Bus, Says We Can't Keep Spending [TRANSCRIPT]
Rush Limbaugh ^ | May 15, 2009 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 05/16/2009 4:42:48 AM PDT by Son House

RUSH: I kid you not. President Obama has thrown himself under the bus. I mean, he has explained how he has wrecked the economy. I saw this yesterday afternoon, and I said it's Twilight Zone time. It's a Bloomberg story:

"President Barack Obama, calling current deficit spending 'unsustainable,' warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the US continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries.

'We can't keep on just borrowing from China,' Obama said at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. 'We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt.'

Holders of US debt will eventually 'get tired' of buying it, causing interest rates on everything from auto loans to home mortgages to increase, Obama said. 'It will have a dampening effect on our economy.'"

This is the guy who has just saddled us with $11 trillion in budget deficits for the next ten years, warning that his own policies have wrecked the US economy and that they cannot be continued. He threw himself under the bus. We can't continue Obamaism.

Just barely over a hundred days into his administration, Obama has condemned his own administration, and nobody in the Drive-By Media gets this. They're still praising the guy for showing fiscal restraint and understanding the dangers that are out there. It just gets funnier and more ridiculous each and every day.

This is an historic event, the first time in presidential history where a president has thrown himself under the bus. A scathing attack on Obama's spending policies by Obama, in which Obama warns that those spending policies cannot be sustained. It is impossible to make too big a deal of this.

So you have ask, "Is Obama the new Houdini?" You know, it's Barack H. Obama. Does the "H" now stand for Houdini? Is he trying to escape all responsibility, that he has no responsibility for his own votes for TARP?

Don't forget, before he became president, he voted for all of these bailouts. He voted for all of this spending. TARP passed budgets as senator, Porkulus, Earmarkulus, the current budget deficit, just this year about $2 trillion.

I mean, this is as bold as Nancy Pelosi saying the CIA lied to her about waterboarding. Charles Krauthammer has a great point. Why didn't they lie to anybody else, why did they only lie to her? And he's got an even better point about this in a column today. Everybody heard what the CIA said we're going to do, these extreme techniques, and nobody's stood up and said, "Well, you can't do that, that's torture," so maybe none of this was actually torture.

And of course by definition, by statutory definition in this country, it can only be torture if you intend it to be. In other words, torture cannot happen by accident. Anyway, we'll get to Pelosi here in just a second. I have a unique take on that, too, because, I'll tell you, with Pelosi, we're getting a real test of the glass ceiling here. We are going to get a real test of the glass ceiling with Pelosi.

But I'm still stuck here, folks, on Obama condemning his first 100 days in office. (laughing)

He has just stated with more clarity than ever and brevity than ever how he has wrecked the economy for years to come. He just told everybody, he just condemned what he did. He just ripped to shreds everything he's done in the first 100 days.

I think what's actually going on here, he knows that he's being followed around by a bunch of sycophants who are gonna die of anal poisoning before the year is out, and his voters are just space cadets still in love with the whole image thing. So he's probably setting up the reasons why all taxes will need to be raised.

But I'll tell you, I almost got on my knees last night and prayed to God that the American people understand how absurd this is that the president of the United States, after a mere 100-plus days, has just thrown his own administration, all of his policies, under the bus, just condemned them, just ripped them to shreds. I mean he has been more forcefully critical of his own policies than he ever was of George W. Bush.

How many 'too late smart' epiphany's have we witnessed lately? And this one now on economics. Many Americans have lost their Jobs, and Democrats continue to stumble and bumble over economics. Why not tell the truth?

They are stressing the economy more, during a recession, to further a Democrat Socialist agenda. Because that's more important to them then if Americans can find work.

epiphany

3. a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.

[ Like as the economy is getting continually worse then when George W. Bush was President ]

And just what is the One suggesting we do about his obscene level of spending spending and more spending.

Somehow it sounds as tho he is blaming us for his out of control spending.

I’m hopeful that if they do start taxing sugary drinks, they tax Kool-Aid so much that his followers can no longer afford it. On second thought that might not be such a good idea. They will just tax politically aware people more so they can subsidize free Kool-Aid for the Obama-bots.

I refer you to Clevon Little's scene in Blazing Saddles, where he took himself hostage with his own gun.

That’s exactly what he’s doing. He’s blaming the people for DC’s out of control spending spree to force us into socialism/fascism, and soon he will tell us how “WE” can fix it.

He will claim to feel our pain. He will tell us how he spent nights “agonizing” over the hard decisions he has to make.

Then, he will tell us that the magic $250,000 income level needs to drop...way down..to about $30,000.

But even that won’t be enough. We’ll need more taxes, and he doesn’t want to do it, but he has to..because that’s what a Good Leader does. He’ll ask us all to “sacrifice” for the good of the nation.

But, strangely, entitlements will not be cut. Pork will not be cut. Spending will not be cut, because we need to think about “the children”. The parasite class will cheer as the productive people become their slaves.

The productive class will not be allowed to complain because complaining would be racist (Obama is black, in case you didn’t know that).

Keep buying ammo and canned food, folks. This is about to get real bumpy!

LOL!! You’re right! That scene ends with “And they are so dumb.” I think that’s what Barry says to Michelle every night as they go to bed.

He talks the talk

So he's probably setting up the reasons why all taxes will need to be raised.

And there is the real crux of the speech. Look for taxes to go out of sight, which is the only way Obama can achieve his wealth redistribution.

Upon signing the stimulus Obama said this:

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that I will sign today, a plan that meets the principles I laid out in January, is the most sweeping economic recovery package in our history

The change in pronouns in the two statements is noteworthy. Obama sure shifted from "I" to "We" in a few short months!

Sorry Barack, you OWN this!

Not unlike a black preacher who over reaches by “God told me to do this hugely expensive outreach program”. Then scolds the church members because they don’t give enough money to fund the programs. “You’re robbing God!”
(Obviously not just black preachers do this, it just happens I am involved in one of these churches)

Rush must losing a step

Obama telling us our spending is out of control is just his way of having a fall back position to raise taxes the likes we have never seen to pay for it in the future

He's doing a CYA “I told you so”

Whenever a Democrat starts sounding all fiscally conservative, hold onto your wallet. It certainly never involves spending restraint, outside of decimating the military. "Peace" is suddenly declared, hooray!, and then these fools proceed to spend even that "dividend" on wacky, no-strings-attached social programs. No strings for anyone but beleaguered US taxpayers, that is, who are on the hook for as long as they remain productive, even ten years after renouncing citizenship, even beyond death.

It brings to mind a modern "prophecy" that I read in late 2005 (I collect them off the web and watch to see if there is a genuine prophet among them ... very few candidates thus far). This old fellow reported a vision, of Washington, DC being invaded by men on chariots, in ancient armor ... Centurions. Humorless, vile, cracking whips and enslaving the populace, which was being completely and utterly subdued.

“if the US continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries”

Obama did not throw himself under the bus, he is warning of major tax increases that Americans will have to finance the debt, not China.

News Flash...5-14-09
Today, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, the President of the United States held his own one man Tea Party protesting his own outrageous spending policies and that of the federal government.
The MSM gave no more coverage to his protest than they did to those who protested barely a month ago, but several news agencies are anxiously waiting for Hollywood notables to out him as a racist for not supporting himself. Some news agencies tried to contact various administration officials for comment and were told that they had no comment at this time.
One member of the MSM, requesting anonymity, was quoted as saying that "the POTUS was just a teabagger after all" and that "the thrill was gone".

This is how it's done.

First, go out and buy the mansion, the new car, the bass boat, the giant TV, the vacation cruise and take out numerous loans. Pledge generously to numerous charities such as ACORN.

Then, suddenly discover that years of hefty payments are in order, more than your income, and declare it unsustainable.

It pains me to inform the People that increased taxes are needed. No one could have seen this coming.
