OUTH BEND - Norma McCorvey, a primary figure in the controversial court case Roe v. Wade, and several others have been arrested today on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.
McCorvey, 61, threw her support Friday behind those protesting President Barack Obama’s invitation to speak here today.
A crowd of protesters is descending on South Bend for Obama’s commencement visit.
Wonder if they are going to have a prayer.

I’m back from the pro-life vigil held at a local Catholic Church in Southwest Ohio. We prayed for the truth to be revealed at Notre Dame and across the nation. I am not Catholic, but I believe we can be of one mind and one voice as believers in Jesus Christ as we defend these innocent babies in our nation and throughout the world. Jesus Christ would NEVER choose abortion for His precious creations. I believe that He will use this occasion today as a way to enlighten more and more people who have been apathetic or ignorant about life causes. May His Name be glorified in all the events of this day and may we, His people, called by His Name, humble ourselves and pray for our nation to return to a culture of life.

OT: BTW, Fr. Weslin (the older priest arrested on the stretcher), was a 20 year Army vet, who went into the priesthood after his wife was killed in an auto accident (they had adopted two kids back when). He changed his home into a place for pregnant/unwed mothers years ago and has helped many.
